And on the topic of the server... The HLstats seem broken.
I was playing for a good 2 hours yesterday and none of my stats moved at all... And what's with it not registering any of the accuracies or shots fired?

What if you have a bunch of trigger teleports that are only active after you shoot the button. The trigger teleport drops you into another sealed room in the map which drops you above the trigger_changelevel, and thus into the correct orientation every time.

Basically, the teleport automatically aligns you into the right spot. That's what I do for castle disposed. Works like a charm.

Yeah. The bots are terrible, and wtf is with them killing you in 3 shots with the glock? It's a heap of bullshit.

On a side note, dm_cliff works fine on the server. No lag issues when i was playing it with some other people.

Trigger once's and trigger Multiples are brush based entities.
You need to create a brush(use the AAAtexture) and then tie it to an entity (CTRL+T) and it should be there.
If it's not, you need the FGD.
And your grade depends on this huh?

Yeah There's definitley a leak in there. Loading the .pts and .lin files is the best way to do fix it. (In editor: Map >> Load Pointfile)
Or you could have an entity in the void..
The map looks generally square do i don't think it would be an invalid solid creating a pin-hole leak (pains in the asses those are)

And as for compiling, The Compilator will help a lot.

Really? I always thought it needed to be Mode: Solid and Amount: 255
That's the way i learned, and it's the way i've always done it.

MAYBE it just has to be non-zero...

What if you try to do a vanilla compile?
AKA
Don't use any expert commands, just run a fast VIS compile, and turn off the -nowadtextures mumbo jumbo.
The nowadtextures is usually only for final compiles anyway so if this is for testing purposes, I'd leave that for the last step.

If this IS the final compile.... Try chaning your BSP directory to mydocuments, or a simple folder on the C: drive.

Example: "Place Compiled maps in this directory: C:\maps"

After that, transfer the bsp from there into your steam valve folder.

Your computer might be confusing the tools with long filenames. That used to happen with the old hammer tools and the newer steam accounts. Such as mine.
I have an @ symbol because of my old steam username. It's my email address.

Try that, see what happens. If nothing else works, i can take a look at it later today when i'm out of work.

Usually Running a compile with full vis and Extra Rad is more accurate and will cut down your polys. The 800 limit is SO 1998. Most modern computers can sneeze more power than it takes to run a map with that many.

Unless this is a multiplayer map i wouldnt worry about the polys right now.

If it is a multiplayer map, just try and keep it under 1500 or so.

Ohh. I've had this one before.

You have conflicting (or bad) sky textures in your wads. Delete one of the sky textures from any custom wads. (i recommend sticking to the HL.wad one)

Well i never actually run it in the background. I load it up 2.. 3 times a week before i go to bed and have it shutdown after it scans and fixes. I've been using it since day one with my new rig, and i've had zero problems.

But i still need to go in and re-seat the ram. I'm getting random blu screens.

Make sure to scan the files on the other hard drive before transferring them back to the clean one. You might transfer an infected file.

This mod is to include zero coding what-so-ever.
All the disposed maps have been made for the original half life, and not a lot of people (that i know of) mod for Op4. The input is appreciated Jedi, But we're sticking to vanilla here.

For the splash screen, I made 2 versions of that crappy one before.
No matter what res I set my video mode to, it always seemed to use the 800x600 one. So I guess if we stick to a 16:9 resolution, that should work.

Just something bigger than 800 X 600 for sure, because it gets quite grainy.
And as for the Bmp links... leave those for when the splash is actually decided on. Give the aussies a break. (For Now)

I like saw's idea for a menu bar within the splash, but I think that'd be too hard to work with seeing as how when you change resolution, the font size differs. It'd be too hard to really make it flexible enough to look good on all resoultions.

Since I'm leaving the font white, we're not going to need anything more than a fade to black on the left hand side.
Other good news: I fixed all the errors that Compilator 2.0B seemed to cause. Aside from that, I might have to create seperate rooms in the castle for teleporting in from other maps. As I would like to have a cutscene or a narraritive after each emblem is collected.

"You've completed 'Block Hole' by HLife_Hotdog!'
"Access to the second floor has been granted."

Something along those lines...

Right now I have every seperate map linking up to the same info_landmark in the central hall. It works, but not the way I want it. I'll just change the landmark to an info_teleport_destination with an env_fade after each maps cutscene. Should prove to be a nice effect.
Map 2 is to enter dev processes in 8 hours.

Just because the maps are unfinished doesnt mean the mod has to be unfinished.
Which means. All mod work can be clean and professional. So long as the maps run smoothly - for being unfinished.

I was also wondering if you have special slots in there dedicated to TWHL members.

Lets say there's 5 TWHLites and 4 regular random peeps and another TWHLite joins in.

Well server's full but the TWHLite REALLY wants in.

Are there reserved slots? so can we kick a random out and let the TWHLite in?

Those bots are RETARDED on Sancefar.
They all stood at the tops and bottoms of the tower ladders trying to crowbar eachother.
And they would jump-strafe off the cliff when in a gunfight.
