My Birthday is in 15 april . You know 2012 is the end of the world ? Well, also in 2012 15 april is the first day of easter ( jesus revival ).
Also , in 93' ( when I was born) 15 april was the first easter day. This kinda scares me.

I don't know about you ATdestroy, but I have to wait 2 more years to get a driver license ( or what do you mean by "permit" ? )

Happy birthday !

Sheesh, I'm going be 16 soon, and I feel old lol ! If I could, I would never leave age 15 . I would like to always be like this. Partly because last summer was the greatest summer of my life ... and partly because it's great to be 15 :D

It's finished ! It's 3:59 without the credits and has a total of 8,557 frames in raw format. But I have to convert it so it will drop some of these frames. I'll post it in my journal. I hope it a little bit better than the other one ( geez I had to credit a lot of guys for some sound effects ..>)

I used a lot of that quick "noise" transition effect . I'm at minute 2 already, and I didn't used again a single music track. I used about 6 until now. I hope it will be a little bit funnier :crowbar:
I also didn't used black screen :D

When I did that I actually avoided using transitions, because I wanted to "feel" the music rhythm.
Do you know a site or something were can I get movie sounds ? For example I want that "noise" quick transition sound.

Looking closer, I have a 0xc0000094 exception problem . I found nothing suitable on google about this.

Also, the fucking thing is that both the original work and the backup got fucked.

IF would just knew from that error log where can I find the error in reshacker... it's odd because every compile went fine :(

I just ... can't find on google about reshacker how to make dialogs :( ....

Please, please, just somebody teach me how to add a new dialog ! ( I can create it because I'll just copy paste the "About" dialog and add buttons , images ... etc there.... but I don't know how to link this dialog to a menuitem or a button in an other dialog )

[EDIT] MOTHERFUCKER RESHACKER FUCKING DESTRYED MY 4-HOURS WORK ! ....

Ok so does somebody from this forum knows about this kind of thing ?

I tried unsuccessfully to change some text. I know the number of characters must be the same but it didn't work . (I just can't find a button's name for example even if I hit ctrl+f)

In commercial programs the program even detects if it is modded :o .

I discovered some tools like HTHexEditor&XVI32 and as I can see, you can alter the normal behaviour of a program. Hacking, in a single word.

I remember from the past that I used to hex-cheat in carmageddon2 a lot . For example, killing a pedestrian gave me 1 minute instead of 15 seconds of time.
I used to modify the speed, gravity and resistance of the cars.
My favourite one was to put much more cars in a race than usual :).

So my questions are :

Is there anybody on this forum who knows hex-editing ? If so, can you please give me some program examples that are easy to hex-edit ? And after that some links to tutorials.
I think it's pretty interesting modifying variables,I mean hacking a program :)

The world will come to and end eventually. There are 2 major possibilities (if we won't be hit by another astronomic object):

1.We'll collide with a near galaxy before the sun passes out ( it won't be a supernova , it's too small)...I think it's andromeda or I dn't remember well. All I know is that that galaxy is heading towards ass at a high speed .
2.The sun passes out.

I don't have prop textures(even I don't know what's wrong about them anyway)

They thing is that here on the forums , if I ask you something you know what I'm talking about (not like google) and you point me at different useful tutorials ... today I'll continue mapping . This is really fun ! source is hard , but I always loved to discover new things .

FresheD suggested that I should make a separate thread for my problems instead of using the rooms:source one . So I learned what are cube maps , I compiled with full hdr and typed these command in the console(copy-pasta) :
buildcubemaps
mat_hdr_level 0 (to go to LDR)
map mapname (to reload map)
buildcubemaps
mat_hdr_level 2 (to go back to HDR)
map mapname (to reload map)
Ok cubemaps are well done , but I have some a problem with the water.

Underwater it looks ok :

You're being an asshole and maybe I'm an asshole too for not noing source mapping , but I'm just asking for help here. You made a useless post. Thank you.

I made a video so you can see what I'm speaking of.

Here's the link : http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=5l5Gysbi-dc

When I turn on the hdr compiling, it just messes up like this and there's a strange bug : the light dissapears and only appears again at some point (depending on my viewing).
If I turn off the hdr compile, the lighting looks good but the disappearing bug still exists.

I didn't find tutorials about that here on twhl and interlopers is no workie for me.

I fucking hate source lighting. One moment the faces are lit and well done , next moment it's dark and only the props have light on them.

What can I do ? I hate the light-adjusting effect ( when you go near the light, the brightness is less than when you go further from it or much worse , it happens in reverse )
I hate hdr . I thought hdr was just some glowing effect near the light but it's fucking miserable .

The only thing I like until this point is the cool metal effect on the metal textures , the water ,physics and the reflections.

There are a total of 4539 users on TWHL atm. Let's say 100 of them are active , which I guess is still a high number .

That means that only 2.2 % of the Twhlers are online dalily .
