Why not just register to imageshack? It doesn't cost anything and you can find your old pics that you've uploaded should the need arise.

Haven't stopped grinning 4 hours in. The plot, humour and character development are nothing short of what I'd expect from Valve.

The engine is nice, runs smoothly and has some incredible visuals. Way to many loading screens but they only last 3 seconds or so. No biggy.

I for one have stopped getting hyped up about games anymore, I learned from HL2 on that front. Waited 3 years after seeing a demo and the final result was a bit shite. I just pre-ordered Portal 2 and watched the trailers. None of this ARG crap or whatever.

The mini-transactions thing is a bit crappy but then again that's exactly why I hate TF2 now. I won't be purchasing anything extra like hats and animations because there is simply no need for it.

tl:dr; Portal 2 is awesome.

I got the main idea I just didn't say so, did I? You're the one making assumptions here.
This is Crollo responding.
Just because I made no mention of whether or not the image was real, doesn't mean I didn't know whether or not it was real, it just means I didn't bother to point that it wasn't real because it wasn't what I was talking about.
This is Crollo saying the exact same thing in a drawn out manner in an attempt to sound more intelligent. It doesn't work.

I never payed for CS1.6. I just bashed my Blue Shift CD-Key into Steam and got the GoldSource package for free. :P

Long story short, neither SnC or TWHL (iirc) support the use of pirated / warez software. If you want to play on the server, get legit.

Thanks for the updated Compilator Muzz. It was a HLFix issue so harm done. :)

Played around with some settings last night and got the RAD working properly again. Just got some odd lighting anomalies to sort out now but I'm certain they are just down to GoldSource being temperamental.

The textures are custom. Anyway, congratulations to everyone who said Source. You can hold your head high and say "I am completely and utterly wrong!"

It's GoldSource. The image has been cropped but not resized at all.

in Illegal Brush Post #293399
I love GoldSource but it is really beginning to test my patience. I have a single wayward brush that is preventing RAD from running properly and making the map fullbright.

So, I'm compiling a map for the 100th time for The Core, and I notice an error appear in the compile window. I'm at the office right now so I don't have it to hand but it is along the lines "Solid missing opposite face"

It appeared on 2 brushes which have been part of the map for a long time. One of the errors was on a brush based entity (Brush #9 Entity #327) which turned out to be a desk chair prefab. I removed the prefab and the error vanished. Woohoo.

The second brush (#501) that was causing an issue was a wall. I removed it and replaced it and the same error appeared. I removed it completely and filled the gap by stretching an existing brush over it. This time the same error appeared for Brush 501 but moved to a completely different brush in the same area.

(This is using SHLT within The Compilator. Compiling in Hammer does not throw out an error message but causes the same issue with lighting. I know it is not a RAD error because the settings have not been altered since I compiled my Compo 30 entry...)

Well the compo is over so you're too late.

Also, your earlier questions were pretty pointless. The compo was about using a limited number of brushes to make an attractive scene / level and capturing it in a screenshot. Using mods is irrelevent considering it is being judged soley on brushes and the video question was just dumb.

Done it. In my Citreon Saxo over a humpback bridge in the country. Did it a few times before the exhaust fell off. Then did it a few more times before I did this to it:

Ha, seems odd for you to mention that just 2 days after I watched this:

Chernobyl Nuclear Disaster - Surviving Disaster (BBC Documentary series)

I found this to be pretty incredible, and one of Ade Edmundson's finest ever performances. Not entirely related but it does prove that Japan's handling of the nuclear situation is a lot more organised than Chernobyl was.
