What's hard to understand? If there is a PC version, it'd run like absolute shite on my computer. The Xbox360 version would be optimised for performance and graphics (and from the screenies/movies i've seen it looks very nice).

Yes it is singleplayer, i've known about it a while. It looks very good, if i was to get it, it would be for xb360, simply because it would run better than on my PC. It's got some cool features, like picking up any item around you ti wield as weapons, use of forensic tools (blue light to find blood), plus i think there is a supernatural side to it.

Maybe people should just stop telling everyone else why their choice of console sucks, and just accept that's what they like..?

You can parent sprites to objects in Source.. can't you?
Just an idea, have you thought of making putting several dust-cloud sprites in the shape of a tornado (in rings, stacked upon eachother, that grow in size each layer) look at the image.

Then parent every sprite to an invisible, spinning, non-solid brush in the middle, thus making all the sprites spin around but retain the tornado shape. It's a little hard to explain, but do you get it? Oh and i wouldn't go overboard with the number of sprites, i'd keep it as little as possible.

where there is little movement involved like in the final part of spiderman 2 where dococ falls away into the water, I was completely unaware the ENTIRE scene was CGI, I honestly thought it was a greenscreen character with cgi elements.And then when you look at Spiderman when he's swinging around the streets, it looks quite terrible.
As I said unless its proffessionally done, like in Gladiator. That Guy who plays the slave owner who 'buys' maximus died half way through the film, so the last few parts with him in it were done with CGI. Its so well done you cant notice that its not real.I seriously did not notice that, that's quite amazing if it manages to fool you like that.

I dont care what anyone says about what console 'rulz' or that PC's are better, I know that, but consoles have their perks. Like alexb911 said, some games are just better on consoles. And to top it off, I'm not paying for the next console, so free gaming for me - WOOHOO!
Revolution looks okay, buts its not the 'amazingly innovative console' everyone beleives it to be. Xbox 360 is what i have access too, and i like it alot because of it's Xbox Live component, which is very cool. PS3 can just forget about it.

There are more than enough tutorials and free texture sites floating around the internet. Custom Materials really aren't very difficult, far less than custom models anyway.
Ambient sounds need to be triggered on each match start, for each CS:S round, use a logic_auto to trigger all your ambient_generics whenever the match begins (output is called 'OnNewGame').
Custom Materials are not so hard.
And starting a thread saying 'Fuk off' wouldn't help either.
Agreeing with Xyos212 here, your map probably needs far more optimisation if it's taking too long, otherwise your probably very impatient and just need to wait it out. Batch compilers aren't a necessary step, the Hammer 4 compilers should do the job just fine.
