Uhhh....16 or so megs...my poor 56k.....and I have to subscribe to fileplanet for the smaller one, dunno about the bigger one, I don't want to think about it...and the valve-erc one is INSTANT download with no waiting time, but it's 111 megs! Where can I get a very, very small one wihtout needing dollars, which don't tend to be found in england, and without needing to subscibe to anything. WHERE?

C++ varies alot from VB. I know very little of each, but I do know the basic syntax. Anyhow, I can't help you with your query. Sorry.

Anyone know how to decompile the DLL? I need to do a bit o' coding for my mod. And although I know very little about C++ programming, I'm a quick learner, and if it's anything like VB, that'll help, since I know a bit of that.

First, upgrade to Hammer. Then use the FGD that comes with TS - it's in Half-Life s :) Only 3.4 and upwards, though, I think. I'd get 3.5b - I have :)

Try compiling it from advanced mode, instead of -game gearbox on normal mode. That's what I always so. Only use -game ... if the mod isn't listed in the advanced one.

phpBB is cool... but... do you really want to have separate accounts for the forums? And have to log-in separately? etc. Nah!

I'm not planning to use phpBB, just its style of threading (i.e. a topic, with replies all in one thread, readable on one page).

Pop-ups: bad
Images: good
phpBB style: GOOD

Even the default phpBB setup would be preferable to me over the current system. It's not that hard to set up and run and there's a ton of mods and styles for it.

You don't mean the edge of the site, by any chance? :)

popups: You sure you don't want them, even just for making a new post (quicker to load on 56K)? I could always make it optional - that's another thing - I hope to create more member-specific options, like preferred number of posts per page etc.

images: okey-doke.

reply box: sure. what do you mean, 'properly threaded'? These are as threaded as you get! But it's not useful threading in TWHL's case, so yeah, the new ones will be phpBB-style.
