in Nintendo Revolution Controller Revealed Post #135218
I don't really like the idea of having 3 or more controllers lying around the house for each player.

Too gimmickly (and ugly).

in Nintendo Revolution Controller Revealed Post #135128
"At the Tokyo Game Show, Nintendo president Satoru Iwata has revealed what the Nintendo Revolution controller looks like. The new controller is a radical departure from traditional controller types. Has Nintendo struck gold with their new controller design? The reviewers seem to think so. It should be interesting to see how gamers react to Nintendo's new innovation." -Slashdot

IMHO they're digging their own grave. There's a reason why consoles are controlled by pads, not joysticks or remote controllers.

Show us some media of what you've made so far. I seriously doubt people will join your team based on just a few paragraphs of story.

in What makes a great map? Post #134922
* Make the map not look like it was designed for a game, but instead pretend it is a normal area, that has been transformed for a game.
I like it the other way around since maps are designed for games. Aiming at a too real-life look will limit you greatly.

Seems like a perfect thread to post some pictures of my new system. So it's not modded, go and sue me.

My 17" Dell Ultrasharp TFT. Fancy.
My case, open. I'm having some hardware problems so I keep it that way.

I couldn't resize them so they're big. You've been warned. Oh, and don't take any notice of the 'hockey' thing in my bookshelf, I loathe hockey. I just haven't cleaned that bookshelf since I was 8 years old or something. :)

My first piece of a map in a year or so. It's pretty random and not too pretty either. The picture quality is crap since I haven't got anything but Paint for saving .jpg images.

Yawn.

I enjoyed fiddling with textures the most.
