I received a special pack that Alex put together and not the actual compo files that you submitted through TWHL. Alex received those, filtered some out and packed them up for me.

You don't like the name, and you condemn it? Have you even TRIED Opera 8? I read something on Opera the other day. It went something along the lines of:
FireFox appeals to the simpleton user, because it presents a very IE type of browsing (with obvious improvements). There are, of course, extensions for FireFox that make it a great browser. However, many users don't even discover these extensions, prefering to stick with the simple version.
Opera, on the other, comes with all the nessecary extensions built-in: in previous versions, it confused the simple user with a multitude of toolbars and the like. Once again, they were either reluctant, or not skilled enough to simple dive in and tweak Opera, which is suprisingly simple to do. Opera 8 has attempted to solve that problem with a cleaner, pre-loaded look.
So J3r3my, I don't understand why you don't like it's "look": it can so easily be changed. How about you try it and see instead of condeming it for pointless reasons?

I regret to inform you that the judging for the competition will take a little longer. Now, before you come after me with pitchforks and torches, allow me to explain.
The RAR that Alex sent me turned out to be corrupt. However, WinRAR did not report the error to me, and when I checked the maps folder, all the maps were present.
I was able to check both Trapt's and doodle's maps, but none of the others worked. On closer inspection, the rest of the maps had file sizes of 0.
Alex will be preparing a brand new RAR, containing all the maps including Trapt's and doodle's. I shall be starting the judging from the start so that everyone gets a fair chance.
I accept full responsibility for this delay, as I've taken far too long already (school and other responsibilities). I apologise for this delay, and will do my best to get the results off and packing to Atom as soon as possible.

dm_runoff isn't exactly great, but I'm not crucifying it and condeming it to hell like Trapt has done.
I admit, the map is rather shoddy, but it isn't as bad as other maps I've seen. Could've been loads better though. As Kasperg said, it's got nothing to do with Crossfire apart from the air-strike, which is a bit dodgy in my opinion.

If you move a gun across, you'll also move the hands and arms across. As a result, when you play HL2, Gordon will have the arms of the CT/T. You'd have to skin the arms if you wanted the HEV suit look, which would probably involve some sort of remodelling, since the CT/T arms have a different shape to Gordon's.
This is all relatively speaking. I'm not too sure of the actual process myself.

Don't try launching an Internet game from the HL1 menu. Load up Steam, go to Play Games and register your CD-Key with Steam by hitting "Register a product I already own". After this, you will be prompted to download HL1, which is completly seperate from the version you've already got.
It means that it's out of date. Your version is the last WON version. This version does NOT work with Steam. You will need to download the Steam version of HL1 in order to play online.

Upon loading my map, I am literally bombarded with hundreds of lines of this error:
CRopeManager::AddToRenderCache count to large for cache!
This error repeats itself over and over and over, slowing the map down to a crawl. My map contains no problems from the compile, or any in Hammer. My only guess is the cables I've got in it. There's quite a few, but not enough, in my opinion, to really piss off Source. Google produced no results either.
