..all except for a short run during season 2 known online as the 'Endless 8', I've enjoyed the series.

and the pipe room reminds me much suspiciously of that game where all the indians were being rounded up into the spaceship and stabbed in they tummy to make starship fuel (i forget the name of it at the moment)

i find not ALWAYS.. but most of the time, when viewing in 2d flat mode (not textured) the engine will auto locate LOTS of malformed faces/texture perpendiculars by discoloring them apart from the block..

say.. in 2d flat mode the block appears red, but one of the faces is discoloured perfect black (0,0,0) the same as the background of unused space on that very same shape

helps me, because i'm always getting into trouble carving around

so.. if your still having problems finding it, you might give it a once over in 2d flat mode.. could help

also, I don't know if i said it before.. however theres an error I believe I forgot to mention in the entry I submitted. (the one that has spongebob textures all over the place in it)

That big clusterf*ck of multimanagers near the beginning (like, right outside the little theater looking entrance) are all check boxed 'multithreaded', I believe. Which causes the map to crash (if they aren't multithreaded don't worry about it)

I know this because i'm using that exact light set up in another map I was making, and it kept crashing on me.. finally realized that's what it was

I had just experienced this 'sleep' phenomenon for myself. If calculating correctly, I had just recently slept for 20 hours successfully..

..needless to report, I was quite disappointed apon awakening.
The night after I played half-life for the first time, I had a terrifying dream
I believe the first night I slept (2 days after) after playing half-life for the first time, I had one of those experiences similar to what the(c)_striker was describing.

oh! I think I see why you can't get to the download link..

Seems megaupload got into the habit of sponcers and causing pop-ups when you click the free download button...

:/ annoying that it was. I'm using opera browser though, so it open's the actual download prompt after I close the pop-up anyways. something to think about/look into

hmm.. this makes mour sence than a theory i had awhile back.. I awoken from a nightmare (maybe 3 years ago?) with this awkward sensation running through my nerves, that made my hair stand up on end.. and though I could feel this occuring I couldn't move or call for assistance.. after about a minute and a half I managed to throw myself off of the couch i had been resting on, causing my body to naturally react catching myself before i hit the ground and regaining mobility..

at the time I had just chalked it up to ghosts :/

are you attempting a desktop based program or something that runs in dos?

camstudio won't record programs that have to run outside windows desktop.

(i'm certain you could get some pirate to chop you up a codex so it will see programs in dos as well.. if your like REALLY nice to them. unfortunately, i don't know anyone like that right off hand)

1. I never had that problem (testing on steam) always (thrice) went back directly to the play options screen

2.see answer as 1. same degree of having to restart to play bonus map.

3. @discostu, i totally know you ripped my .wav man. straight from my raving map, the beta, before it is even released. come clean man. i'm not upset that you straight ripped the .wav, thats what its there for. but the fact i'm not even mentioned in the credits.. what the hell man. btw, the featured artist is 'benny benassi' remixed by the 'global dj's'.

as for teh entities.. the modeling can be summed up a numerous of ways.. i never really witnessed a flaw in software mode. then again, i never tested in any others.

well the model i wanted to use, has a pose (dead_table1) that makes it look like shes leaning her head on something while sitting down, and its not her default animation, i wanted to use that one to simulate a pretty little romance scene

right now i have a trigger_once targeting an aiscripted_sequence that having a monster_generic as it's targeted monster (action animation dead_table1)

but i don't think its set up right.. nothing happens when i run over the trigger_once

also the model is a custom one i downloaded awhile back for counter-strike hostages.. called 'hostage.mdl' I'll host a link..

in the finished compile.. the same map i tested in half-life fresh instal (straight off the disc) and it works fine..

but if i make a server in steam with the map, no models appear, and there isnt even a disruption of where the models should be, can walk right through them like nothing was even there

:(

and im assuming befor i look theres a tutorial on scripted_sequences.. i'll just hop my loopy arse over to that right quick then

I'm having problems with my models appearing in steam goldsource.

They show up fine in fresh install when i run the map, but if i make it with steam version's they don't appear at all :/

also, how do i get my models to pose in specific animation? i though all i had to do was put the animation name in the body section of properties, but when the map runs they are just standing there like lumps

anyone care to explain this to me mour efficiently?

Just finished playing through..

my opinion, besides a few missed transparency textures here and there, its very well made and quite visually full-filling. Unfortunately, I did not complete the secrete in JeffMod's first room (room 2) kind of walked to far and moved to the 2nd room.. I'm just assuming that plays a roll later on through the maps (obvious reasons)

Also, that helix spiral collaborations of.. "holy hell why did you do that to the engine" did not cause me any performance problems either.. however, I'm running on steam version (1.6 whatever) in software mode. A few other spots got jittery, mainly room 3 was pretty much hell.. too many entities/faces going through walls on screen at once

Other than that, I like it, just a shame I did not get to take part in it :(

ALTHOUGH, and I'm not certain if this is on purpose or a major accident.. I believe I found a pretty nasty glitch in the bonus map.

It seems near the end, you run through a small hall way that appears to be in an outside setting (illustrated with a sky texture) and in that hallway is some loosely discarded plywood/particle board looking pushables/solids and a rafter overhead accessable with a ladder.

Whilst manically diving all over the plywood, I believe it must have shifted awkwardly, or I wedged the model into the wall beside it by some means, whatever occured I shortly found myself outside the map in a lower section that previously... It allowed me to run around for a short distance then it locked and I lost all mobility..

Where as there ARE jobs pertaining to working with google.. I'm nearly 100% certain (like 90.8%) that google does not itself personally stalk down people to fill them..

This is most likely a scam, I've received a few in my email. If your going to work for google go to their actual site and click the little button that says 'about google'

sounds about like this one.. i recently cleaned it.. still works like piss though.. theres nearly a .09 delay on all the keys.. and it gets really bad in lag, sometimes doesn't even register buttons were pressed
