I've checked this mod out on moddb a few times. It looks pretty good but the character modelling seems a little off. I'm never sure what look they're going for.
It works the same way as far as I know. However I'm speaking from a strictly WON modder point of view. The folders are laid out the same way as the original, the only real difference is getting it onto the Steam Games list and creating the menu screen.

I would subscribe to PCG but its not such a good idea where I live. The scratters at the Market Drayton post office stole 2 back issue copies that I ordered a year back. Luckily, I got a refund and eventually received a copy. Good ol' PCG

I heard of a guy and his G/F who had this kinda setup aswell. Can't remember where I saw it. I think they used it for goldfarming though so they got stinking rich off it.
I had 6 months free of WoW and that was enough time for me to learn all the shit, get to grips with controls and such, level up a few times and finally, get mind bendingly bored of the whole thing. I bought the expansion a few months later and paid for another month, then got bored again and quit altogether.

GoW2 looks...well...exactly like the first game. Pfft, consoles are a joke. All they do is cause arguments. I own a 360 and right now I am not looking forward to any of its upcoming games. As for the whole 'PS3 is more powerful' argument, who gives a fuck. All those games are bullshit too.

GoW2 and Killzone 2 look mediocre at best and Deadspace, well the only thing I've seen of that is a full center spread magazine ad. No screens, no info, just the name and EA's logo. On those terms, I'm willing to wager that it will be shite.
Far Cry 2 - It has been described as the most immersive FPS yet and with an open-world environment and an adaptive story line. I want in. I'll have to fork out ?660 just to get the PC to run it. Money well spent.
Left 4 Dead - I loved playing BrainBread with Huntey and Tosse so this should be 10 times more awesome.
Brothers in Arms: Hell's Highway (PC Release) - WW2 games need to be more story driven rather than the over the top American killfest that is Call of Duty. Looking forward to this a lot having loved the previous games.
HL2:Episode 3 - I've seen a few concepts but nothing special so far. I just want the next part of the story.
Duke Nukem Forever - Ok so this is in no way a serious WANT. I just think that after waiting over 12 years for this so far. Having watched the trailers around the time I was playing Quake 2 I might as well buy it for the sake of my inner child.

I am totally stuck at the part with the eyes that shoot lasers!
Hmmm...theres a lot of issues with the first few maps (intro and gman) Both seem to stop at the end and nothing happens like you said. After I tried to skip to the 3rd map I got a missing frame error for an animated texture and the game crashed. 
Can't you just load The Specialists and then open the map with the console?
