PS is (for good reason) the industry standard in 2D arty-farty, however, PSP is a cheaper alternative for those of us who do not belive in warez-ing. Similar features, etc, but not as well rounded - in my opionion - as Photoshop, which I use.

there is no good or bad program, And one doesn't suck more than the other, its how you feel with it and which you can produce the best results with.

so there :P

In, normal HL (no spirit) you could do the rain process, with a different sprite.
With spirit, theres an option in the func_rain entity.

It might be an the option in steam that asks you to chose your internet connection speed. If you set it too low, it lags like crazy (as I found out). select the connection above what it is set at at the moment, and see if that helps.

and dont run things like bit torrenet or kazaa when playing.

as a matter of interest, you using AOL?

you'd have to make the animations yourself. you cant apply animations to different models on the fly, as far as im aware.

Ok, firstly, you say you have a new model, but the animations dont work?

or do you have a model and animations but cant get them to work?

try this:
with your new model, put it in the valve/models/ dir and rename all the files to exactly the same name the model your replacing is called. for example; if i was replacing ministeve.mdl with a new model, i would rename my new model to 'ministeve.mdl' and put it in the above dir.

go on, give it a try.

please, try and type properly. Its doing my head in.

some good points floater, but i must disagree with the backtracking. If its used in excess its extremly annoying. for me anyway.

I think mephs idea of not actually seeing the monster adds suspense, which is great, because suspense and tension can cause the player to jump out there skin if something were to occour. I.e- sudden loud noises or movements.

like seventh siad, CS is coded to allow bullets through a certain distance through different materials. eg - bullets travel further (and faster) through wood(crates) than concrete or brick.
