I have a problem with a CS:S map,

I have a prop_static, with some smallish brushes on it.

I made the brushes into func_illusionary's.

When I enter the room, I look at the objects on the table, and their black. If I move around the room, and look at them at different angle's, they turn from black to textured, depending on what angel I'm looking at it from.

Can anyone think of reasons for this ?

Dunno, have you tried deleting the entity, and making a whole new one ?

I just made a map to test it, and it worked.

Unceck all the flags, except "Play Everywhere"

EDIT: Actually, no, after reading the problem again, I doubt that's your problem

Really ? You can't shoot it open ?

Did you shoot at where the handle would be ?

I always shot it with right click, so it shoots two shells at a time. Try that.

Dunno, try leaving out the dots in S.W.A.T (make it SWAT)

Madcow, should I try adding a lockpick to my door ? I think I know how, with triggers.

Same priciple as shooting the door open, you can only do it with a shotgun

Hey, Madcow. About the door breach explosives, why do you say we have to use model doors ? I'm sure you could use hinge-doors somehow. (I've been experimenting in hammer)

So far I've made a hinge-door which can open with 'use' or get blow open with an explosion. Now I'm trying to make it possible to shoot it open with a shotgun, if you shoot the handle.

Hey, about the pistols:

1. True, it would be easy for enemys to see the laser, but we seriously HAVE TO HAVE ONE !
can't you take the coding of the laser sight from the rocket-launcher and stick it on the pistol ?

2. PLEASE consider the ACP .45 ! (pistol) and if you do, It should have the black handel, not wooden.

(and I like the Benelli idea)

About the pistols, I seriously vote for the ACP .45 with a black handle.
You guys will prob say it's un SWATish, but I like that gun :)

But we definitely must have a pistol with laser sight, like the socom.

door-breach-explosive-thing, like one of those trip mines you stick to the wall, only you use a remote to detonate when stuck to a door, and it blows the door open or something.

This is how I got my name: (when I was 7-8)

Well, you know all PC games used to come in box's with about 2-4 screenshots on the back ?

Well it was long ago, when I got Age of Empires 1. I couldn't think of a user-name, so I looked on the back of the box of AoE1 and in the multiplayer screenshot, the guy's name was Slasher. So I used that as a temporary name until I thought of a new one. Then I came attached to it and kept it, so when I started playing WarCraft III online, I thought someone would already have that name so i added added 101. And have been Slasher_101 ever since...

and that's my life story

3 of my neighbor's rabbits came thru the fence, onto my lawn, and my dog, MAX chased them around the garden while I watched from a balconey :D

He caught one, and ate it's bottom half, and left the rest on the lawn.

And he caught another, and killed it without any visable wounds.

The last one got away !

I just downloaded a map called de_priory by ManHog, and it was the best map I have ever played !

It was uploaded way back in 24 June 2003 but it is the best anyway.

It only has like 4 comments, and 2 of them were asking how to d/l it.

So I was wondering, if anyone knows of any really good maps, somewhere lost deep in the MapVault ?
