If this is how you want it:
A clear screen, no effects, just a "movie" live from the camera.

I think, that there is an entity, info_camera_link, it can make you target which brush you want the camera to be connected with, so, like, if you make a brush, make it nodraw on all sides, the, target the "camera viewpoint entity" to one of the brush sides.
If you look in the entity menu, you will find the "camera viewpoint entity" easy, the name explanes it all.
I think you used this method to make a TV, I learned it over at snarkpit,

I know that bug,, umm,, I think you just need to restart, and if you are using steam, try shuting steam off and then compile, if that doesn't work, restart. :D

Oops,, thought it was spelled settnings.. My English is still a bit bad.

Arrggh,, same problem as at my old site,, nobody likes my colorthemes. ^^

Thanks for the suggestions, I will put down more work on the NEW MAP post page. And try to figgure out a bit better colortheme. :)

I wanted to make something like snarkpit/TWHL, a mappingsite,, and I wanted the forums like the those at the VUgames HL forums + mapping.
I wanted a mail system and guestbook for each user. So it's a combination with Vugames-forums, TWHL, Snarkpit and,, something.. :P
But, TWHL is still better. In fact, TWHL owns PHL.. ;)

Well, I've made a new site again!
Not so many people liked my old site, there was nothing to do on it..
But now, with support for ASP, I got a member system with loads of features!
The only members registrated right now, is my friends. But I wich to get more members in the future.

Me and some friends are working on a SWAT mod, like rainbow six.
We've set up the mod but still need one SWAT playermodel for MP, and a Terrorist playermodel for MP..
And for SP, we need just the same things, but not for player.
Weapons? Well, right now I'm trying to make the SDK weapons work (MP5 and shotgun)
So, that's not really a big problem, I'll work that out.

But, the rainbow six models will overwrite the old citizen models!
So the SWAT models needs all of the animations as the npc_citizen got.

And for the terrorists, will overwrite the combine model (needs same animation names)

The combine sounds will be renamed and edited and will overwrite the citizen sounds, and the citizen sounds will overwrite the combine sounds..
I'll take care of that...

About the mod, anyway:
Not much new C++ coding, we'll just overwrite stuff with new stuff.
The trick with hostage situations will be easy made in hammer, with an ai relationship targeted to all of the npc_combine, with the subjekt (name of hostage)

In the HL2 menu, there's movie in the background.
And it shifts every time you're on a new chapter..
How do they make one of them?
Is it just a recorded movie, or is it an entity in a map, so when the menu is loaded, it turns on some kind of a camera in a map, and shows it in the background? :S

I tried to use the good old HL1 levelchange in HL2, I think that's the way you make levelchanges in HL2 too,, right?
Well, I made 2 maps, made landmarks, and trigger_levelchanges on both maps, I checked the targets over 999 times,, so they are right.
But, when I compile second map with "don't run the game" ON, then compiles the first map with "don't run the game" set OFF, the levelchange won't work.
And when I look at the console, it says that it can't find "esc02"..
Yes, I have compiles esc02, (the second map) and checked it's name so it's right..

Every thing is right,, but it just doesn't work anyway!
So,, It would be great if someone who knows how to do a working levelchange, make a example map! :D

It should be like HL, Instal it on you computer,, like a NORMAL game, then, if you want it in steam, register the CD-key in steam, so you can play it in steam too.. :D
