i dunno for sure what the name of the combine button is, but i think its under models/props_combine just make a prop dynamic and set a func_button covered in nodraw over it.
about that too many light styles on a face, i had that problem too, it happens when you have too many named lights in the same visible area (same room), the only thing i know to do about it is to delete some of the lights in the area the problem is :tired:

yup, you can load a vtf, animating or static into css, and because vtfs can be so big, you can probably make hi-res photos or animations to sprays.
i havent tried it yet. but if you try it tell me if its easy ;) .
if it is i will have a lot of custom sprays :D

1. do your map leak? if so it wont be able to generate nav data
2. try to go into the mods map dir (cstrikemaps) and delete %YOURMAPNAME%.nav.
3. place some nodes even if the map is small, bots will need this in order to navigate through doors and so

I think you should use solids as walls instead, you must have the outer walls on the map solid whatsoever, else it will mess up with leaks and lots of other problems :roll:

Is it just halflife or is it a mod?
In svencoop you can just choose a custom model in the propertys i think its possible in spirit too.
I dunno anything about coding :P so i cant help you with that.

I have the same problem like black viper, but for me it crashed the whole computer instead. Stop error while starting windows DRIVER_IRQ_NOT_LESS_OR_EQUAL
Stop and some hex. When i have the computer connected to the network it works fine lol :lol:

what weapon entity do you use?
If it is hl2dm then you will have a bunch of weapon_* entities that dont work, like weapon_extinguisher or weapon_stunstick.

If you now how to model then you can try making a prop_physics, else you can use the model based boxes that comes with hl2/source. i think that so many func_physboxes will cause lag and maybe crashes too. i have over 32 prop_physics on the same place without lag/crash

To make a tv that you can move:
Make a prop_physics and name it
set the model as the tv with no screen(Glass)
Make a brush that covers the tv screen, then make it func_brush, name it, set parent to the name of the prop_physics, and give the front face the tvmonitor texture as described in the tutorial.
then make a info_camera_link set its destination brush to the name of the func_brush, of course you have to make a camera like in the tutorial.
Set the camera_link to the camera, i cant check if that works now cus its late and im tired but i hope it will give you the idea ;)

I have tried to delete the source sdk from steam(delete local game content) and then deleting the whole sourcesdk directory. Then it started to work again :D :D . Now lets see how long it works now ;)

i have 512 mb ram and over 2 gig pagefile

i have a idea i test now. if i take the vmf and compile it in my laptop instead, it might be slower but it is worth it

I have a very annoying problem wit HL2 :(
after i have compiled it (2-4 seconds) the bsp says
"Memory leak: mempool blocks left in memory: 49", and when i run the game i get a big warning message saying "warning ... sum numbers and "the memory could not be Read"" :confused:

plz help me i have started all over many times it still dousent work, im starting to get really pissed at hammer 4! :|

Hmm.. :roll: I cant find any updates that can cause problems but it can be that my computer crashed with HL and Hammer running. :roll:
And with crash i mean that the whole computer crashed and have to use the reset button. But it was not the first nor last time it crashed and i did not use hammer that day anymore, and i think it crashed next day too, but that was sims 2 that crashed. :roll:

I have re installed hammer twice now and it still dont work.

When i downloaded worldcraft 3.3 it worked :) :)

I cant see a difference between hammer/worldcraft 3.4 and 3.3

But i still dont understand why Worldcraft works but hammer crashes? :roll:

I have tried mostly everyting, the worst thing is that when you start hammer it crashes before its even open, so its very hard to find whats wrong.

And fileplanet thats so good have just the beta exe they dont have the installation! :lol:

In the tutorial andy says this

A. Yeah, these Modifications use Spirit and that allows mappers a greater choice of how to use their entities. But that doesn't solve the problem.

I use spirit, is it some way of making it easier than the tutorial then? :|
