Ok - tracktrain trouble is out... (whoa, "tracktrain trouble"... They begin with T's :cool: ) But yet another problem bugs me... Now I've compiled my map, with no errors, nothing bad. It all compiled perfectly... So how come when I run my map on hl, I get this error?
Bad surface extents 7264/0
Whadda fogg does tht mean? :confused:

I think it can. It runs on the same engine anyway. You'll probably need spirit.dll included tho... :)

I think that gonarch was created for the invasion, to spawn headcrabs more qiuckly... I think that headcrabs could spawn from zombies...

See the opening in the stomach? maybe that's the place, where the headcrab lays his eggs, when he has controlled the victim. After the baby headcrabs hatch - the headcrab leaves the corpse and goes on, with his kiddies, searching for victims... :

Aye, yet another problem appeared.
I need a func_train to rotate, when needed. At the path_corners, where the train needs to rotate, I've changed the "new train rot. speed" to 20, but when the paths are passed, nothing happens... How come? (it has an origin brush in it) :)

Just make another script, which has the "idle1" animation for the "action animation" and the "idle animation" properties, and select the "repeatable" and the "no interruptions" flag. In the "target" property, write the script's name, and in the "delay before trigger" property - write somethin like 2 or 3...
And walla! You'll have a script which targets itself, thus making it repeat. If you'll want to end it, just kill the script... :)

Maybe you have a leak in your map? Or maybe there's another box behind the sky? I'm not sure really....
This might be done with sprites, if you want a "fadeoff" effect, but I'm not sure if it would be possible... :
That would require lots and i mean lots of entitywork and triggers... :

Are you mapping for hl1 or hl2? Anywho - if you are mapping for hl1 - you get hammer 3.4 here and you get hammer 3.5 here...
First you must install 3.4 and after that - 3.5... :)

Go to: file > load pointfile
And select the pointfile with your maps name.
You should see lots of point rows, pointing to your leaks. But if you don't succeed, try making a box around your map and hollowing it... I do that, when i get pissed off, looking for leaks... :P

There's a combo box in the "body" section of hlmv, saying "Skin1" - just press it and if the model has moe than 1 skins - you should be able to select em (skin2, skin3, etc.)
And about the change of skins... Well i dunno how 2 fix it, but if i were u I wouldn't worry bout it... It must look cool! :nuts:

Ok It's like this:
I have a train (func_train) that needs to be passable when i don't need it and not passable, when i need it.
I mean that I have 2 identical trains, just that one has a door for the player to step in. Once the player is inside, the door will close, the train with the door will dissapear and the real train will appear, and start.
Now I've tried doing it with renders, but they only made it invisible, not passable. So is there any other way for this?

And if you want it 2 look really realistic and make the retinal scanner give a nice "access denied" for the player when he uses it, just make a invisible func_button in front of the real retinal scanner and make its "locked sound" property to acess denied or sumpin...
When the barney you want will have to activate the retin, just activate the real scanner, not the fake btn... :)

And enter the numbers of the brushes that are coplanar (u got the numbers at ur compile log.) and delete em... :)

Hmm.. Set the following properties for your func_water like this:
Render Mode : Texture
Render FX : 100

Now your water will be transparent and it should be bright underwater... :)
