Mmmm, funny what's going here, considering that a lot of the other big entertainment topic boards are on fire because of Ricardo Montalban's passing*, not to mention the TV news. And I just learned that another big shot movie legend of "The Prisoner" fame also died more or less at the same time: Patrick McGoohan.

*A good example out of many of what I am talking about: http://www.comingsoon.net/news/movienews.php?id=51942
Just Google it for more.....

Well, if most of you here are out of the loop with any of these two guys, I will just chalk it up to targeting the wrong demographics, I do understand there is a big generational gap here. And of course, I will gladly take the blame for this oversight, since I was the one who put this thread up in the first place. But at least it's not a total lost, there are a few of you here that recognize the names.

Christopher Lee was the guy from The Man With the Golden Gun, not Ricardo Montalban
You are right, I stand corrected. Now, correct me if I am wrong, but did he also do a cameo once on the old Batman series of the 1960's as a bad guy too?

Ricardo Montalban, the 88-year old actor who portrayed Khan Noonien Singh on Star Trek, died today at his home in Los Angeles. AP has just reported that Matalban?s passing was announced by Los Angeles City Council President Eric Garcetti. RadarOnline reports Motlablan died of natural causes.

Montalban began his career in Hollywood in the 40s, after moving to the US from his native Mexico. As an actor he appeared in dozens of films and television series over the last seven decades. Montalban is best known to the general public for his role as the enigmatic Mr. Roarke on Fantasy Island in the 70s and 80s.

Trek fans remember Montalban as the genetically engineered Khan Noonien Singh from the Original Series episode "Space Seed," and probably more notably, in the 1982 feature film Star Trek: The Wrath of Khan. Montalban?s unforgettable performance has immortalized him as perhaps Star Trek?s greatest villain, helping propel Wrath of Khan to the top of most fan and critic lists as the best of the Star Trek feature films.

R.I.P. Khaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaannnnnnn!

My personal note: I will always remember him more than anything else in the role he played on the James Bond movie "The Man With The Golden Gun". He was one of the greatest bad guys ever in any of the 007 movies!

Yea, it's real. It's just a naked man wearing only a mask and a fancy necklace in front of a fireplace, as disturbing as that may seem.
Oh man, that ad is working. I want to smell like flame-broiled meat.
I did provide the link to the ordering page, and besides it's really cheap, slightly less than the price of a BK value meal, of course I know you are joking (I hope). Heck, I think I am going to order about 5 of those body sprays and re-sell them at a higher price at my aunt's emporium store.

We are at that time of year where some of us go shopping for presents to give to our loved ones for the holidays. And the ones that are on a tight budget will often get a bottle of cheap cologne or perfume. Now, don't get me wrong, I have no problem with that. You do with what you can do. But at the same time, the line has to be drawn somewhere. Just when I thought I have seen every gimmick out there for a new cologne, or in this case, "body spray", comes this shocker from a very unexpected source, here.....read it for yourselfs: http://www.foxnews.com/story/0,2933,469865,00.html

Tetris is dictatorship propaganda. Don't play it, it will mess up your brain.
Too late. The last few nights I have been dreaming of world domination.
Seriously though, look at the guy. He looks like a loon. He should rot in a cell for the rest of his life as far as I am concerned. Fuck forgiveness. This sick cunt doesn't deserve it.
Well, maybe he should be given a chance to earn forgiveness. How you ask? Simple: He likes to kill for real and play FPS games, right? Well, I say send him to Iraq. And when ever a suspected terrorist's IED (Improvised Explosive Device) is found, also known as a road side bomb, he will then be ordered to go towards the suspected IED, poke it with a stick, and if it does not explode, he just simply moves on to the next one, thus keeping our troops safe. Now, if he does manage to survive all the IED's, if some time in the future U.S. forces find and surround a terrorist hide out, our good Halo' boy will be sent in as a messenger boy to deliver a surrender note to the terrorists that will read: "Screw all you punk ass bitches and fags, and surrender to Uncle Sam". Of course, he might or might not come out alive after reading that to the terrorists, but at least he will be on his way to earning that Presidential pardon.

PS: Was that too much?

Graphic cards are very delicate things, they can get damaged by just about anything, heat, humidity, dust, static, rough handling during shipping, you name it. It's a good thing you were dealing with a reputable dealer.

You know, it's funny about all this bashing on Halo, and not just here, but on a few more other gaming sites as well, and yet, whenever the next Halo comes out, not only will people start to camp out on front of stores days before the game goes on sale, but it will most likely break some sales records and outsell Halo 3's massive game launch day. Sure, the Halo series is not perfect, but is not that bad either. Now I do admit Halo 3 was a bit of a let down.

I came across this story on another forum board that says the PS3 is in big trouble, they pointed to this CNN article: http://money.cnn.com/news/newsfeeds/siliconalley/personal-tech/2008_12_sonys_ps3_a_sinking_ship_sales_plummet_sne.html

I don't get it, of what I have been hearing on some gaming news sites is that the PS3 is been making a stronger comeback in sales recently against the Xbox360, and that 2009 is starting to look like Sony's year with their "better(?)" line up of upcoming games. Hell, they even just about finished rolling out their long awaited "Home" network world wide. So what gives?

Personally, I don't give a rat's ass about Sony, I am happy with my PC and Xbox360, but to be fair, I still have my PS2 hooked up to my spare TV.

I don't recommend it though, just pointing out that Tito is completely misinformed on this matter. There are many "enthusiasts" out there that have computers laid out all over a desk instead of having a case.
Nah, I won't bother with a comeback, too tired for it, you can have this one.

Computer case or no computer case, in the end it's your call, satchmo. All I can suggest, is to choose what looks more practical for you to do. The key word here being practical, and if you do decide on some unnecessary risks, it's your call too, nothing wrong with that either. After all, it's your money.

Everything you say?
What about the DVD drive?.....What about the hard drive?.....What about the power source?.....And what about some of the cooling fans? You still will need the case to be able to connect all these up. No, I'm afraid the case is a mandatory item for the build. The only parts that can be truly optional and not needed are the graphics and sounds cards, since many mother boards out there are equipped with an onboard graphics and sound chip already. Of course, if you are making a gaming rig, then yea, you will need a good dedicated graphics card, and maybe a dedicated sound card too.

Newegg has not even shipped the case, even though they already charged my credit card more than a week ago.

When I called Newegg, they have no idea why the delivery is delayed.

What's wrong with Newegg? I thought they knew what they were doing.
If it was me, I will tell Newegg to refund me the money for the undelivered case. Also, once the case is back on stock and ready to be shipped, they have to send it to me for free. It's the least they could do for the poor customer service hassle they are causing.

If there ever is another Cloverfield movie, there is a good chance it might be a prequel. The reason I say this, is because there were too many unanswered questions concerning the origin of the monsters. At first I thought these had to be some kind of invading alien monsters, but after seeing how they were acting more like a bunch of savage dumb animals attacking anything that moved and never venturing outside New York city, I figure they might be some kind of secrete government experiment that went wrong and escaped from their hands. Of course, if they really do a regular sequel, it's hard to say where they could go with this.........

Yeah, so? Tito may have been concealing his identity.
You see, the problem with that theory is this:

First, I don't have L4D, neither for the PC or any of the consoles. The only game with zombies in it that I play is Resident Evil.

Second, even if I did get L4D, it most likely be for my Xbox360, and knowing how Microsoft is on a mission to ban consoles that are cheating, I would never risk it.

Third, you have to be a real moron to hand over your full account details over to some guy you don't even know for just a lousy buck. Trust me, it's just a matter of time before all of his listings get locked by eBay.

Fourth, my pride. If you were to spend $60 on a new game, not to mention all the other fees related to playing online, then hand over all of it for just $1 and miss out on all the fun unlocking all the points and secrets of a game you invested in, so you can have the a big score you don't even deserve to have, what does that say about you as a gamer? Nothing but a bitch and a cheat, period.

Oh by the way, my eBay user id is not tito1, it is santito. I used to have 87 feed back points with them, but since I started to boycott them over their increasing high seller fees, they reset my points back to 1, greedy basters.

Even if he were to give you the L4D 1000 gamerscore as advertised, there is still the problem of him still having your account information, so yes Tetsu0, you might be right. Of course, it would only take one accusation of fraud sent to eBay, which could lead him getting banned from doing any more business on eBay. But you know what, it should be interesting to see what Valve's position on this would be.

Oh damn, somebody actually bought the 1000 gamerscore from this guy, but only for a dollar, HA! Gee, I wonder if it was somebody from here.........

Minutes left and it has zero bids. Obviously nobody gives a damn, and for good reason.
If you look at his other "products" he has listed on that side scrolling widget, you will notice he offers the same selling the score service to other games, in fact, that's all he seems to do on eBay. Now look at his feed back points, he's got 7 of them, meaning he has had already 7 paying customers in the past.

Also, the ugliest bond girl yet and he didn't even sleep with here... come come James what is this franchise coming too?! = )
Also, whatever happened to Q's high tech, super secrete spy gadgets that Bond has been so famous for using in past movies? And for the next movie, it would really be cool if they brought back James Bond's old enemy hit man "Jaws":

You can read more on it here: http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16833156232

Also, there is this other little type of gadget known as a "Powerline Ethernet Adapters". To make a long story short, It turns any electrical power outlet into a high speed Internet and home network connection. The XAVB101 from Netgear is a device just like this, you can check it out here:
