Strider: I have XP and I can't play it either. The screen just stays black.

So what you need is the keep, and not the whole thing then? (too bad, I wanted to see my gatehouse and portcullis put to use :P )

I'm not sure I've seen the Mario castle map, but I'll take a look.

I'll see if I can come up with some castley floor plan with a lot of rooms.

In HLDM, weapons respawn on their own after a certain time with no extra work needed. Just place the weapon_stuff and that's all.

Man, am I the only one here who knows how to switch back and forth from this config? I'd have expected the older, more experience members to bring this up before me.

In Hammer settings, General tab, uncheck "Use independent window configurations".

Any inventory can be maxed out (you don't have infinite room in your pocket, do you?), and a Bag Of Holding is an item that can contain more items without taking up more space.

It's not them alone, it's most major labels. Sony, EMI, etc. But it's the same. Fuck all of them.

Sorry, I can't see the connection between MotM and the Industry vs. fair use media.

I don't even have an account in YT, but if I ever have one and use it, I would always include a notice reminding that whatever media I use falls under fair use definition in my videos.

When I buy music CDs, I do it because I believe the artist deserves from me the cent or two they get from it - they have earned it with quality work. But I'd rather buy it directly from them if I could. The corporate part of it doesn't deserve anything better than getting kneecapped and tossed in a sewer. Of course, then they might think of a way to charge you for shitting in their sewer so maybe they should be just eliminated.

Also, what's WMG? Windows Media Goat?

Indeed. Maybe also the weapon should be holstered while in a conversation. But we're going too far astray from the original topic.

What has to be done:

1. Define a storyline (including geographical settings) and general gameplay.

2. After the storyline, determine what will be the code-related needs.
3. Concept mapping.

It seems so easy when put like this...

How about a master instead? (or its source equivalent) That way you could also need to fulfill a requirement for the conversation to begin.

Or if you're told to "go do X then come back and I'll tell you more". If you don't do X, the master is off and the NPC won't talk to you until you do.

Yes, but how exactly would you link the results of those conversations to in-game events? You'd have to, say, at least trigger a set of entities for each different outcome.
