I agree with the awards idea who here has a paypal account, I think all members should donate like $3 and the winner in 1st place gets the money.

We can send our money to one of the judges.. if the person in first place does not have an (paypal) account, then tuff luck, the money will be used forthe next comp.

You can scale the models up in hammer.. I think the default is set at 1. Maybe spirit is needed...
I can't do a comparison since I lost everything, but this mod I did awhile ago, so It was all in software mode:

Nah Wally converts them to bmp once in a wad file. So yah, I would say that is your problem. try it.. then let us know.

personnally I liked software better than the others... I'm probably going to get chewed out for this but it is more clear.. Direct 3D, and OpenGL causes all the textures and whatnot to be blurred together... please, sombody tell me Im right. :P

yes you can share it with friends.. You cannot profit from the mod in any way.. why is that so hard to understand. Its there fault for allowing HL2 to be modable.

Use Maya 08, theres a easy tool in the called "Create Polygon tool" in the 'Edit Mesh' menu, Take that into the top view with image planes and go over it, then extrude it down. Easy as pie...

Lookin' good Tetsuo, not too often you see ships done in HL1.. tis difficult to make it look good, tried it awhile ago.. lol..
Now go on, finish it!

So I made a model of a ship in class, its not UV mapped yet and the render is using the mental ray sky.. eww.

After a month of being hospitalized I am back!

It started in early december, where I was throwing up alot, I went to the hospital 5 times each time they kept blowing me of pretty much stating that I have a nasal infection, but it got worse. After Christmas When we went to see them for the last time it was a saturday the doctor said I can finnally get a cat scan on Monday when they are in... Unfortunitly I never made it to Monday.

Sunday night I guess my girfriends father carried me down a flight of stairs and to the hospital, where they called in a doctor to give me a catscan.

It was funny I guess, fuckin' nurse let a lady with what appearred to be a cold go first, I guess ambers dad almost took a fit, lol. I was totally incoherent at the time.

Once the results came back, they found out that I had a tumour the size of a tennis ball in the back of my skull which was putting pressure on my spine. This happened on PEI. They wanted to airlift me by Helicopter (dammit!) but I guess it was to foggy (fuck sakes!) So they took me by ambulance to the Halifax Nero Surgeons Hospital which is 3 hours away. They actually cut me open in the ambulance to drain and releive the pressure on my head They told my girlfriend not to be in the ambulance just in case I died along the way. Which I think was smart. Can't remember it anyway lol. All the doctors looked at me like I am some kind of walking miracle.

My parents live on the other side of Canada so they arrived about 2 weeks later from gathering funds for plane tickets.
I had tubes everywhere.. lol. They told amber that I'd be a vegetable most likely for the rest of my life.. Like that was going to happen.. :P

So Radiation starts today at 1, for 25 sessions, excludong Sat. Sun. So little over a month.. Then I may have to start Kemo, which I dont mind,
did you guys know its a drug? Neat eh?
Anyways so thats pretty much where I have been for the last month and a half.. Sick. But I'm back now feeling great! BTW Heres a picture of my scar from the back.. bar fight, eh :P

The Source by circuit city, and circuit city are actualy two different companies. Last I've heard Circuit City is actually going out of business at which time we will probably be know as 'The Source'. I'm not too sure at what actually happened but it's pretty much the same store, just defferent owners so to speak... well, its actually a corporation soo.. I guess theres no owners.. bah, hard to explain.. sorry :(

Hey guys, a friend and I are having some trouble exporting a model, the model exports fine and can be compiled in HL2 but its got a pink and black tiled texture on it. We checked our materials and whatnot and all seems fine. We converted the tga to the correct vtf format, put it into the right directory but it just won't work..
I think its because of an error we're getting:

"The following shaders did not export correctly:
PhongE1SG"

Anyone run into this problem before?

The point of this thread was the fact that I should still be able to host a server with it having VAC disabled on it.
Anyways I put in '-unsecure' in the launch properties so at least we can play it on a lan at school. Fuckin' fun shit :P

Anyways theres a pack with everything in it for $99 through steam, I might pick that up instead and make a new account..

yea I know Hunter, I figured I might as well have some fun on a certain server, and atm it was supposedly vac proof, and the next day it was detected. I used the hack before I checked the cheats status. :( Shame on me, I know.. but yea, its for cs:s.

So theres no way to disable vac in l4d as far as everybody knows?

I think if I was to set up a dedicated server I'd be aloud in.. but then I can't play... feck... what to do?

Hey guys, I was recently vac banned for using aimbot in counter-strike, and now it won't allow me to run L4D with a couple friends. I don't understand that though, if I make the server, there should be a way to disable VAC for the server, but I don't know how to, any help at all would be appreciated.

So I got my first problem, I was making my map, all was fine, then all of a sudden it HL2 would'nt load my map..
Heres the error I get when I type 'map map2' in the console. And its not a big map, all it is, is a cube with a door, and a light.

Host_EndGame: Map coordinate extents are too large!!
Check for errors!

Any help would be appreciated.

haha, happens to me too, Only I made a basic cube put a light and character in, and enabled hdr.. first map made in source, it turned out fairly bad.

I just played on expert with a frien, it took awhile, but we did it, fuckin' tank. I don't even think we ended up beatin the guy, he just did'nt appear one round.. ...?
Anyways fuckin' awesome.

So, I played it.. it was neat I guess. Its pretty much how a zombie like shooter should have been created. I'ts pretty cool.. Cons would be I never liked the chosing your weapon parts, thought that was kinda stupid, I wish you could have them all at once, but whatever.. the mapping was also very basic, I seen alot of plain cubes, feels a bit rushed.. anywhos I give it a 4/5 Because it is fuckin' awesome!
