Have you checked your console for anything strange... That's the place it should come up. You might have some errors in your map that's stealing cpu resources. Run a problem check. Do a full Vis.

Why does everyone try to decompile these days? What's wrong looking in a tutorial, that someone has written for others? Or why not post a forum post on how it's done. Do everything in your power to solve the issue without using decompiling. Decompiling should only be used as a last resort. Might not be the appropriate forum but what the hill.

in map copyright Post #8210
Let's see it this way.

Those who just want to steal are by certain not really mappers. A true mapper would decompile it and look how it's done (If he actually went to such lenghts to decompile it). Then try to do the same in his map. And will probably credit you too for it. That's how the community works.
And with all the brush errors ,they're usually experienced if they get it back to normal again. :) And if they're experienced then they most likely know these "decompiling rules" I just mentioned.

You can add a few brushes to create a signature in a uttermost corner of the mapping grid. Not many would notice it and you could then have proof against them if they ever copied it. That's what we did in Duke3d.

Stay away from clans. They're evil. :(
Learn to stand on your own legs. Most clans just accept you as long as you're "good enough". They throw you out at first chance.

Win2000 more stable than XP Pro. I'm afraid I can't agree with you on that! Just use XP's built in Firewall and run windows update every three weeks and you'll be safe. I've never had MSBLAST ;)

in Sound Post #7768
I had this error when I created SM. HL can't find your sound or it's incorrect. Chech all the paths. If your sound is in a pak file you could try exporting it. Use Pakexplorer which you can get at www.vlatitude.com to export the sound and place it in the appropriate folder.

Are you using a ambient_generic?

in Player Model Post #7574
Collisione errors...? Nah. The player already takes up a defined area in the game engine. Adding a pair of legs within that area shouldn't result in any errors when colliding with something. It's not like the enemies run trough your non-existing legs. If it's this that you mean?

And shooting yourself in the leg. Well that's the crazy ones problem. If they want to play the game they won't shoot themselves in the leg.

The name "Ping of death" was given in the first version of PODbot when the bots always made a headshot on the player(s) directly the round begun. And trough every solid object that was in the way. :P
