i fail to see how that is even remotely true. a map is a map. if you're mapping a book, you should tell the story well enough yourself so the judges don't have to read the book. also why would the judges give preference to a book they've read? judges are supposed to be impartial.

I know of more than a few people who agree entirely with me. To be honest I've already come to grips with the idea that not everyone agrees with me on everything, but hey I can't expect everyone to be as intelligent as someone as brilliant as myself. yeah that yellow lighting is gross... strongly recommend decompiling valve maps just to see how they do their lighting. or use the ones which are freely available (idk if there are any for l4d2...)
the lighting is heaps dull. this is the zombie apocalypse!! that building needs to be torn to shreds with ceiling collapses and fires and shit! get some inventive lighting going imo. possibly try and turn it into a place that's being used by the survivors as a safehouse/stronghold to defend from oncoming zombies...
on a slightly related note, dirt 2 (and grid which is on the same engine) is currently 75% off on steam. it was one of the first games to include dx11 features and is a brilliant game in its own right. give it a go if you've got any sort of interest in racing games and/or gorgeous environments.
How on earth can you possibly celebrate Easter on a Saturday? It's very existence is based on the story of the resurrection of the Lord Jesus Christ. He was put to death on Friday (Good Friday, a day of suffering for Catholics) and rose again on Sunday (Easter Sunday, a day of celebration and gift giving). Celebrating on Saturday, sometime in between those two events, is just beyond ridiculous.

however, at one of those festivals i got to see some quality australian bands such as kisschasy and eskimo joe. i never realised just how good kisschasy were until i saw them live and the crowd was going absolutely nuts.
on topic, i've really gotten into broken bells, temper trap and mumford & sons recently. top stuff.

if you've got a spare motherboard and hard drive it's worth giving it a go, it'll take like 45 minutes to put the parts together, install windows and steam on the hard drive, copy the files over and get in game to test it. how long has this been happening anyway? can you trace it back to a particular event? (tf2 update, hardware change, etc)
I remember I had a similar problem when I changed motherboards, even on a totally brand new formatted hard disk with only windows + steam. Went back to my old motherboard and it was back to normal.

no, r rated games aren't banned. r rated games don't even exist in australia. highest rating we've got is MA15+, which means anything that is too extreme for that rating gets refused classification and is banned from being sold.

Those record lows are a bit deceiving, can't say I've ever seen anything even remotely close to that low. It usually gets down to about 5 or 6 minimum overnight in the middle of winter, and I've never seen it snow in the city at all.
