Tried sending in the first part of my map.. but kept getting corrupted zips... eeer! And another thing..
For the light effect, I used an func_inout, which I think can only be used with the spirit of half-life, so I'll have to change that.. argh.. oh well'..

yep.. will do. Once I get internet at home, this problem will be all fixed, it's just that I need to put everything on a floppy disk, causing the file to be either corrupt, or a virus. DAMN THE SCHOOL COMPUTERS!!! lol :

By the way the env_sprites are a tad bigger, because I wanted a smokey, foggy type of map.. And this gave that effect.

Well here is what I did:
copied the text over to a .txt document.
Renamed it to .bsp and it seemed to work, opened it on HL and nothing worked :S

So hey guys, I have completed making the actual model, now I have to attack a skeleton to it and skin it. Just wanted to show you guys what I have so far, here's a screenshot in MS3D:
So, this is my first model ever. Don't be too harsh, I had a lot of fun with him. Those are boxing gloves for his hands. They were not easy.

Thanks Seventh. Oh, and he doesn't have a head because this is going to be a Mortal Kombat style game, and we are attaching 2D images of our friends to his neck (for that uber cheesy look) for fighting.

yep you can try that, if that don't work, open an existing map file with notepad, and paste it in there.. then open it..

try saving it as type 'All files' in notepad. it defaults saving it as a txt reguardless of the extention you add.

Alternatively, just put the name in quote marks, with the extension", i.e. "map.map" (with quotes, remember).
