The Compound v2 suggestions please... yes im redoing the whole thing

This is what im doing at the momment:
Map1: Entrance and main door. (DONE)
Map2: Office Block and Icky cage.
Map3: Escape.

All I need is suggestions of what to put in these and maybe even a Map4. I need suggestions people!

I have no idea what your asking us to do. What is the purpose of the location that your maps are set in? You need a story, which can be as simple as "Rescue Doctor Man from the evil people."

Free Urbanebula Tip#1: Rooms, guns and monsters make a lot more sense if they all have reasons for being there.

Some examples:

1. A secret base researching [something weird here]: Would be tight on security and would be concealed by either the landscape or even a 'front.' For example, I once worked on a mod where the player entered a gas station and was taken into the back by the attendant and sent down an elevator into a secret lair.

2. A military outpost: Again would be secure and concealed but would be filled with military hardware, intelligence offices, bunkers, storage bays and lots of fucking guns.

3. A City: Would most likely look like a city.

These are just examples but if you choose a location and study (when i say study i mean look on google for photos) the real thing you can start to picture how it should look and what you should put.

I was just making suggestions. If you wanna make a decent set of maps you need to come up with your own ideas. Look on google for some good location ideas.

heh, Moab, make sure you go over my novel of a map review on your original "the compound" mod :lol:
just do all that stuff based on a nice idea, and youll have a good mod. Ill be there to review it when its out :D

and just an observation, shouldnt this thread have been opened in the maps and mods forum?
