Hi everyone ! I was playing around with some sounds in a cs-map ......and found those "vox" and "fvox" folders.Hey, the voice sounds cool!
My question is , there was a program to make this souns or ........i just want to make my own sounds. But with the vox or fvox voice. It'll be nice......
So ?

[EDIT] is there a way to reset all my binds in the console ?

So you want to make your own vox/fvox sounds?
You can use the individual words in the vox and fvox folders to make your own vox and fvox sentence. For example, if you feel the need, you can create this:

deeoo deeoo, attention all personnel, whisky for gordon freeman immediately

Take a look in the sentences.txt file (located in the sound folder within the pak0.pak) and see how these sentences are put together to create lines.

The same can be done for the human grunts:

shit!, request! grenade! up! my! ass!, sir!

Note that you can change the speed, pitch and duration of each individual word by placing (e#), (s#) (p#) (t#) after each word, where # is a number. Placing a comma represents a short pause.

Experiment.

For Steam, the paks have been replaced by steam Game Cache Files (.GCF). Use nem's GCFScape to extract stuff from them (they're in your steamapps folder).

Muzz, you really ought to stop advicing people to look in their pak files... no one uses WON Half-Life anymore. There's no reason to.

I use WON-HL. I have an original disc too!

SHUN THE NONBELIEVAAAHZ!

Don't worry, 6D is formatted for both. No detail spared at this point. I can't test the title screen though, no steam for me and all that.

For the voice, either record yourself and mechanize it, or find one of the many vox things on the internet. Always check the googles, often. Make sure they have fresh water.

I use WON HL. I had Steam and changed all the shortcuts back to the original directories. Which brings up the point, can you have WON HL and Steam installed at once?

I still use WON HL, and I always have. I don't really see any differences between WON and steam HL anyway. And when I was experimenting with steam's HL anyway, a lot of custom games that I had on there didn't work at all.

[EDIT] Oh wait, that wasn't steam. Or HL, or anything to do with what I was talking about... but I use WON HL!
