The tool really has lots of bugs (for many obvious reasons...), but I just want to warn before this happens to you.

If you load many WADs in settings, like 50 or so, the program executable just crashes whenever you try to re-open it.
I searched for a file that stores WAD presets on the program folder but I couldn't find any. Also tried reinstalling it but the problem persists.

Does anyone know how to fix it? Must be something on the windows RegEdit, but I don't know how I could fix it.

Q2: Could someone upload a working version of Condition_Zero_Deleted_Scenes.FGD that comes with HL SDK? Perhaps the file contains wrong strings so Hammer can't read it.

50 WADS!? That's insane! Especially in Hammer.

...Who the Hell still uses Hammer anyway?

I do, but not by choice, it's what most beginner tutorials suggested and I just got used to it, I guess I just didn't get to a point where I really need to switch to a different editor.

I guess I'm just used to JACK's quality of life changes after wrestling with Hammer for nearly 20 years. Even just seeing the render effects and transparency in the editor stops me from compiling windows and railings with the wrong settings. :P

I was under the impression that Hammer couldn't handle more than 8 wads before things started getting screwy.

Guess he got lucky.
Jack is basically the same editor with some improvements bolted on. All the tutorials that worked for Hammer are applicable to Jack.

If you really want to figure out what the issue might be and possibly find where the wad list is stored use this:
https://docs.microsoft.com/en-us/sysinternals/downloads/procmon
You will have to sift through piles of log lines, but it will be there.

No need to sift, the settings for VHE3 are found in the registry, in:
HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\Valve\Valve Hammer Editor\General
You can delete the TextureFile[Number] keys to remove WAD files without opening Hammer.
