KSP is so fucking cool now. It's mind-boggling how much it's grown since I first played it - probably around 2 years ago. It didn't even have the Mun back then!

Yes, it's Battlefield 4. Hella great game.

I used to have one of those, but it didn't seem worth it. There was absolutely no resistance on the brake pedal, or for turning the wheel. You could probably get ones nowadays that fix those problems or have force feedback though, I dunno because I'm not really a racing games kind of guy.

Although that might actually be pretty good with an Oculus Rift. You wouldn't even have the issue of losing your place on the keyboard, because it's a big wheel instead.

I can assure you the G27 is fully responsive in terms of weight, resistance and feedback. Could not recommend it more! Even has rev lights on the wheel as actual f1 and rally cars do to assist with gear change timing.

I am playing "The Stanley Parable".

I've decided that it's a hybrid between "Antichamber" and "Portal".

If you enjoyed either game, you just might have a good time with it . . . unless, of course, you actually want to beat the game.

Here's a trailer that tries to capture the soul of this game.

Trailer begins in "3, 2, 1".

Added The Stanley Parable to my cart almost a week ago. Never actually ordered it though. Can't decide if I actually want it.

Got GTA V for Urby day and I've been playing a fuck ton of that. Still waiting on the PC release though. The console version is certainly lacking the polish and additional features that PC versions tend to get...

Also got Path of Exile on steam. It's a classic style action RPG like Diablo and is totally free. Seems good so far.

I used to have a physics sandbox game called Phun. It was fairly fun, but I hadn't used it for a few years.
I recently downloaded the more recent version, now called Algodoo, and gave it a go.

Of course the first thing I do is recreate Kerbal Space Program.

Here we have a successful rendezvous with the orbiting craft:

Docking complete:

What a lovely orbit. And when the game is in motion, you can see a curious effect. Because one ship is closer to the planet, it has a lower orbit and therefore has a higher orbital velocity. Normally in a stable orbit an object wouldn't rotate relative to the background (unless it was already rotating), but because this ship covers such a large altitude range relative to the orbital height, it begins to rotate clockwise on an anticlockwise orbit.

Detachment:

Retrograde burning to slow the craft:

What a lovely looking map.
It certainly is a nice aesthetic, it's a pity you can't make a game with vibrant colours without having people assume you were trying to copy Mirror's Edge.
Although that game does have a distinct 'white with flat colour highlights' look for the majority of it. It just shows how indistinct other games are visually that even having any areas of flat bright colour immediately brings it to mind.

I just finished Mirror's Edge last night. I can't remember exactly when I played it originally (probably around 2009) but I was somewhat surprised by how good it was. It didn't exactly make an impact on me before, but on playing through it again it turned out that I quite like it.

This new career mode in KSP sure adds to the difficulty. Not having the parts that I would normally choose for a particular mission forces me to think creatively, for example landing my first probe on Duna:
User posted image
I attempted several times to land on Ike (Duna's moon) for the extra science points, as I had plenty of fuel left over on my interplanetary stage, but I hadn't considered that in the design stage so there were no landing legs. I couldn't manoeuvre well enough to cancel my velocity for a gentle touchdown so the engines would break off as I hit the surface.
My next probe will be one that lands at Ike and returns though, so I don't lose any science points from transmitting the data.

Also I added a station in a geostationary orbit above the space centre because why not?

I really can't quite figure out why anyone plays other multiplayer shooters when BF4 is an option. There is nothing like it elsewhere and you won't have experiences even coming close to those immersing you in the Battlefield world.

It's also RIDICULOUSLY pretty.

It's also ridiculously expensive and requires powerful hardware, which is again expensive.
I doubt my HD4850 can run this at decent details on 1920x1080. Even on my 1600x900 laptop screen with Nvidia 650m this would probably run on medium details.
