Ok,Daubster Chapter 4 bigger problem's all mapping is in your hands.(except for the 1st map,I finished ,it allready,plz be polite about that.I put real effort in it,and still editing it to make it look perfect.)Anyway,if Daubster slows down with mapping.I can boost it up until January.Because I've got 3 weeks holiday.Its Bayram,Turkish Delight for every1!Daubster is very good with env-beams and trains anyway. :)
(but in this 3 weeks,that means no school and no school=no internet for me.But I think ,I'll be getting it back in next week,because not many people work in Bayram...So does the men who was gonna bring my ADSL :x )

Well It seems that I've missed alot (welcome back, Saco).

I've been away for a week, so let's try and discuss this problem.

So if I got everything right - Saco keeps the 1st map, edit it and polish it till' it's flawless (3 weeks.. That's a shitload of time) Why not add my escape seq to it?
I can make the 2nd and 3rd maps, that looks fine with me. Although I think that 2 experienced mappers are too much for one chapter. And if Saco won't have any internet - we won't be able to discuss the chapter and keep the whole thing logical.

But what the hell.. Since Saco has more time, I guess that he could make his 1st map really cool both in entity work and architecture, gameplay, textures, etc.
Since I have less time, my maps will be less eye-candy, and I'll concentrate on the gameplay, monster placement, etc, while trying to make the areas look "clean".. :P

I tried the other article about physics in HL. And i can't see im really excited about it... But maybe its a nice addition to the mod.

The Half-Life 1 physics can be activated.
The tutorial is here:
That's the physics used by grenades etc to pull things towards the ground.
That wouldn't work well on monsters. It can be done tough

Seventh,
The code for ragdoll is very complicated, and is adapted to be played in single player earlier. It will need a lot of optimization to work in multiplayer, especially in Sven Co-op when there is monster AI being calculated at the same time. Currently if you tried to run HL:E in mutliplayer with the ragdoll, it simply would not work. (We've tried it Smiley)

heh, anyways, i'm back.. Incase you hadn't noticed, i've been off the computer due to a stupid bug which enabled the bios password... i beleive the bug is called 'parents concerned about homework'

I agree with Daubster. Why the hell rush it?
I think we should try to get it finished by the end of January which should probably mean it'll be done in about a month...

Coldfeet?.. oh whats the point of asking?

Also, i could e-mail it to hl2files.com ... they'll host it and it should get A LOT of attention.. however, that will require us to make it steam compatable..

well, as far as i know, the only things that'll need to be changed to make it pro-steam will be the splash screen.. but muzz may have to change some codes.. like the customizable hud because of the different menu system.. i dunno though..

Uh uhhh....(Negative Tone) - False unfortunately because your parents know best even if you think they are assholes. Heck a week of work experience at Fishpools is enough to make you straighten up and think jeez...I have been such a fool and wasted my time not doing the school work. I should really catch up...Then you perform well and end up like me with free time...And it feels great cause I earned it.

So no offence but don't ignore your parents, Hunter quite frankly if your parents are worried about your homework then I would too. School always comes first before fun. Besides once the work is done you can play.

Anyway January sounds great.
