hmm, i stopped playing after 10-20 minutes becauseo f the very poor quality of the maps. os the beginning is very bad and ugly, i hope the rest of the mod will be of higher quality

Some very good bits... and some rather dodgy bits. First time I played the cinematic got stuck forever, lol, the grunts all walked up to me and I could just watch while gordy got surrounded. Love the run-the-gauntlet bit though. Sort out the first two bit grey doors, make them thinner otherwise they appear flickering in the wall when you're a long way away. 4/5

The details in the readme are wrong. Quote marks are unnecessary usually, and you do NOT type '"C:\Sierra\Half-Life\hl.exe" +map Spearhead' into the HL console just trying the map now...

Okay, few little notes: the optical scanner can be used by the player? To open the door? Also, set the buttons to reset after, say, 5s. Then when the turrets deactivate you don't turn the button off to make them go again, if you see what I mean. Fun though. You'll go far very neat and tidy. Excellent first-and-a-bit map.

Yeah, the green laser isn't quite following its correct path. I had the red laser moving as well, but that was a nightmare. Instead of moving along the wall, it started slashing through the crowd in the center of the dance floor! Lol. Anyone is welcome to improve the map, as I've included the .rmf.

i don't know what you guys are smoking but you can make shiny floors with spirit and not have to dupe the building. You can reflect everything with a sprite.

Version 1.1 is now available! I got it to upload correctly this time, as well, so you don't have to worry about my daily usage limit. It is a greatly improved version. I've fixed the lag problem, so it should run smoothly, not to mention I've expanded the level! You can now work your way around to the metal door you start off by.

Hey, that's pretty good. Fun too I love cannon thingies. You can actually press the button without breaking the glass first though? Maybe something to do with "Master was null or not a master!"? The charging stations stick out a bit. It's good. 3/5, but that's just 'cos it's so small.

Here are some quick notes about the level:
The security guard near the door you walk in is the first victim of the laser, so be careful around there. I had wanted the laser to travel around the room without causing any injuries, but when I tested the level, I noticed that it actually took out the dancing security guard, a couple of scientists, and eventually a marine. LOL! The laser's set for 1000 damage points per second, also, so when it hits, the people explode.
If you have the urge to whack or shoot the punch bowl, wait until you're finished playing through the level. That's a quick way to end it. Whatever they put in that punch . . . Lol.
The drink machine at the end of the second hall is based on the one from the Vending Machine Tutorial by Vassy. All I did was change the texture.
For more information and details about the level and how to run it, refer to the readme included in the .zip file.
I had to upload the .zip file to Ripway, which has a 5 MB daily usage limit. If anyone could download the file and then upload it again in a comment, that should solve that problem.

I played it through completely and I gotta say some pieces are absolute trash but some parts are great .......there were some parts thatyou obviously shouldn't of included but there were others I'm really glad you did.....it seems like the lagacy map is a little bit of a previes to nightwatch
Oh yeah overall I'd say it is absolutetly amazing and crap at the same time cause the standard of work changes all the way through heavily......
Oh yeah and I also had the problem with the air tank.....but I used god mode for that part
.....and one more annoying buy was the ghost sailor stopped in the middle of walking to his location so I had no idea where to go lol.....so I just ran around exploring till I found a transparent wall :D................oh yeah plus you should of made the ghost soldier not solid so I could walk through him and not hit him :D...........oh yeah one other funny thing about that map was, I was able to smash all the room mates at the start of the map with the crowbar and they had yellow blood and gibs...........and I could beat up the guy doing exercises in the corridor the same way
But i don't think its fair to call maps poor when you can't do better yourself
