I vote shoes! lol But no need to worry. I'm sure if you actually get a job, you can explain that it's your first time doing it professionally, you have been an amature for X number of years. if they are a cool group, they'll run you through everything and the rest you will learn with experience. Sometime the only way to learn is to dive right in and hope people have the patience to put up your learning curve.

I agree. I simply can't go back to the original Left 4 Dead. When I play the first, I just feel that something is missing.

It sure is good, gone are the days where you would pay and average of $1 per gb. I picked up my 1 TB external drive for the same price as a 500gb HDD

This isn't actually that bad at all. It has good flow and would probably play alright too. You need to increase the vis distance a bit more though. And the glass tunnels are a good idea but it feels a bit silly that the entire thing breaks when you shoot it.

Otherwise it looks pretty good. You are getting there my friend ;)

Haha, that's true Soup. I guess the law isn't the same everywhere. In Australia, if a car rear-ends another, the one driving behind the other is responsible no matter what. However, in your case, the other guys is just totaly screwed no matter what...

Are you kidding? Considering what he has acheived, this map proves just what you can squeeze from the engine. You do make valid points though, potatis, but I believe the effort he put into the design is well worth 5 stars alone.

Sorry soup. I didn't have time before I went on holiday to do that, though I did want to. And I really don't think I could get away with scaling this up...it's too complicated and it wouldn't run lol

Thanks Jeff. That's the problem with creating something like this. The scale is so small that you get heaps of invalid errors. It too me two days just to map the ground part.

I would give a review, but pretty much everyone above is correct. So I won't bother.

This is really good. The layout was fantastic, with so many options, it kept the game fresh. I didn't mind the fog so much, but I didn't like the outdoor areas very much, with the exception of the roof, that was great. Otherwise this is a great map, wish I could play with some humanz though, would be great fun.

I'm enjoying Borderlands, I don't mind playing it with Dad. Except he keeps running up to weapon caches and grabbing everything before I've even looked at it.

Half-Life is so old now there are probably hundreds of thousands of cracked copies anyway =/

It's disappointing to say the least but not surprising.

Your storyline sounds ok if you pull it off right.

Well the thing was, I was mostly intimidated by the new entities, and I'd been mapping for Goldsource for many years now and gotten so familiar with it.

And I haven't been mapping for HL:SF because I can't find inspiration...I really want some concept art or floor plans to map with. My brain is just not in Black Mesa frame of mind, hence why I'm making a L4D campain.

Wow, lots of questions. I'll do my best to answer them all.

1. Q: I tried to set up fast weapon switch to mouse2 for the crowbar. is this a HLSF thing or did the original HL never support fast switch (can't rememb)

A: I'm not entirely sure, I don't think Half-Life supports it. Maybe...

2. Q: custom headcrabbed-barney looks great!(who made him? =))

A: Jeffmod updated him from a pack I believe

3. Q: that intermittent door is SWEET. (is it on paths?)

A: Yes, func_train.

4: Q: glock seems WAY more accurate than the m203 rifle. is this by design?

A: It's a minor problem, it is 90% accurate, however, the crosshair is not centered properly. Will be fixed.

5: Q: accuracy for m203 doesn't seem to increase when you crouch. (are you supposed to get a tighter group when crouched?)

A: This isn't a feature built into Half-Life, we might add later.

6. Q: "black ops" guys look cool. did i see an animation of one of them "limping" away when he's taken some damage?

A: Yes you did, but even regular grunts do this.

7: Q: The end credits looks great! (did you do this with spirit, or can you accomplish the same thing in vanilla HL?

A: Yes, it's just using a formatted titles.txt entry. Vanilla Half-Life can easily do this with some effort.

Yes, lag is an issue. It will be reviewed. And I'm really glad someone liked my helipad map. I put alot of effort into the design of it.

@Captain Terror, That's half the reason I watched it. Two friends of mine posted their reacton on a Facebook video. It was funny, poor Mel threw up.

It was gross, yes. But I can think of worse. And Pain Olympics are awesome!!
