The thing is though, it's not like rechargeable AA or even proprietary batteries don't exist. And it's not like Sony couldn't provide a removable battery pack. That "lol its gud for environment" excuse is the most pathetic sounding bullshit excuse I've heard in a while, and it doesn't even make sense. If Sony gave two shits about the environment instead of just making big bucks and screwing over their customers, they'd let you choose your own batteries or make them replaceable.

I hope YOU'RE the one trolling Penguinboy. They're obviously talking about non-removable rechargeable batteries. So you can't replace them when they die (though honestly, this must take a fuck of a long time to happen.) And probably the average determined nerd could pop one open and solder a new eBay unit in or something.

Well that message is very recent, because the old message below the new one has been on there for a very long time. So it shows they are still actively trying to get the site online.

Don't bother, man. It'd be way way too much hassle just for a few silly visible map file names. It's not like you spend any time staring at the load game menu anyhow.

Jesus, how did you get to have such a high population of both Afghan and African kids in one school like that? Where do you live that attracts such distant ethnicities?

Neither are really important to me... at all. But I guess option B. They just aren't that significant. How exactly did you come up with these two options? They don't seem at all related.

It'd be pretty easy in PE, especially if the school is backed up to a neighborhood. But why would you punch somebody in the face over this? You didn't really explain how that happened. Violence is not usually the first reaction in this situation. Totally illogical.

That never even occured to me before I read the friggin' timestamps. Way to fucking go dude, I had no idea you could sink that low, although it doesn't really surprise me.

Really sorry about your dad, dude. I'm glad I've had a relatively stable family all this time.
And on an entirely different subject...
It's incredibly hard to take you seriously on Flat-Life: Source. You're a new mapper, and it's just such a spur-of-the-moment thing. You just joined and you've apparently already taken up creating the remake of a popular Goldsource mod that everyone on TWHL is familiar with? Come on, man. The fact that you debuted your idea by showcasing two low quality icons is quite telling of your ignorance towards the effort involved in something like this. At this stage it's barely even been an IDEA. And this is going to be really hard to take, but to top it off you're 13. Of course nobody believes you.
I tried not replacing them and my computer basically froze at the splash screen...
EDIT: After backing up the original DLLs and replacing them I got the same freezing at the splash screen. That's pretty annoying after downloading a nearly 250MB mod. How many machines did you test this on anyway?

I'm talking about displacement... not the physical size of the engine. Although physically it is quite small compared to most other engines, you just don't usually see them outside of your car very much. It's also a lot taller than, say, a V6 engine, but overall it's still smaller and lighter than that.

I'm pretty sure (c)striker was being sarcastic. I mean, I hope he was. And it's understandable, because this seriously is a tiny engine.
Really tiny. The intake manifold lies, it's not even a 1.9, it's actually a 1.6 with a 1.9 intake. Just don't tell the guy at the smog shop and I'll be fine.
Eh, people do rebuild commuter car engines you know... I'm not trying to go fast or anything.

Strangely I don't feel the same way about Microsoft's products, Windows in particular, because I feel it is vastly overpriced and prohibitively expensive to purchase as standalone software. If they sold their OS for something like $50 dollars a pop, they would dramatically decrease piracy, and probably encourage more people to buy it in the first place.
When the corporations are bigger thieves than the so-called pirates, copyright infringement is downright practical. But considering that all games are priced the same when new, how can you possibly justify piracy from EA over Valve, or any other game company?
If they weren't making any money from us, they wouldn't be making any games. EA produces some pretty damn good games, I can't imagine what the game industry would be like without them. Just because they make a lot of money selling games, they're no-good goddamned corprit bastards?

I don't remember how I found it either. I do remember that I was very self conscious about making posts at first though, because this was literally the first forum I had ever been a member of.

I have indeed kept a very very strict record of all my car-related expenses. This project, including the car and engines and everything down to oil and coolant, has cost me about $1800 total so far. There's literally no chance I'm ever going to get that back though, and I don't expect to. These cars have practically nonexistent resale value, which is how I got it so cheap in the first place. You're getting ripped off if you pay more than $600-$800 for one. I don't care about the monetary value of it though, I'm going to keep throwing money at it because I like the car, and I like working on it.
Of course, they'll probably be collector's items in another 20 years, along with Civics and Geo Metros and God knows what else.

It's my old Escort, I've made quite a few journal posts about it.
I got a new rebuilt engine for very cheap (actually 2 of them , but I'm only using one), so I'm taking all the external parts off the one I pulled, and putting them on the rebuilt one to drop in there. The rebuilt engine is only an '83 1.6l, and this one is an '88 1.9, but with the improved fuel injection and a high output camshaft it won't make much difference really. It's an odd combo though, so I'm having to mix and match parts.
This is why I'm never on TWHL right now, because all my free time is going into this.

Wonder what the financial benefits of this are?

He kinda looks like me when I had long hair though, so I thought it was fitting since I liked the movie and all.
Not like that though. D:
That sounded incredibly wrong.
Now imagine what it's like for people who were born in the 50's and 60's, to see everything they ever knew as a kid gradually brushed away by society.
