All the best to you both. I hope this last month wont drag for either of you. It's the waiting that's often the worst part.

Hope everything goes as smoothly as last time, and that this is the last time she'll have to go through this.

8.0/10
Architecture — 7
Texturing — 10
Ambience — 10
Lighting — 10
Gameplay — 3

Meh. That's a mixed rating from me.

Architecture? Awesome. It looks great, sounds great, it's got the whole war-torn city feel. The catch? It's incredibly confusing. Half the time I didn't know where to go, with no hints, no obvious path, lambda caches that were hard to recognise as such. I had to noclip once to get somewhere I was obviously supposed to go but had no idea of how to get there.

Gameplay? Not so cool. It changed between too little or even no health kits (I lost count of how many times I had to turn on god mode) and an overly large supply of health chargers. The combat was set up poorly, being shot at from all directions, constantly, with little cover or, in one case, a finite supply of rockets. It was not indicated when or why people joined my squad or left it.

Overall, I got the feeling that someone proficient in staging combat would have been a good co-author to complement the exquisite visual treat that this map serves.

I think it might work fine, it's a 32 bit build with no complex geometry or lighting or PBR. Mostly just a cel shade post process effect.

Nice, I like ME a lot. What always boggled me about UE4 is it's performance. This seems like a rather simple game but would it perform well on a cheap laptop with all that underlying massiveness of UE4?

Thanks, will do. I got inspired mostly by Mirror's Edge, you can tell because the moveset is almost identical (wallrunning, rolling, wallclimbing, grabbing onto ledges, springboard jumps...) heck even the style, using strong colors lol. I'll try to make more detailed levels after I'm done with the base game, the current ones are mostly just abstract test levels to make use of the mechanics.

Pretty nice, a parkour game. Its strange to look at how the character is so detailed but the surrounding is not. Times have changed.
There are a plenty of parkour videos out there maybe you can get some inspiration from that.

Here's the one IL-2 Battle of Stalingrad image that Imgur let me upload, having severe problems uploading the rest for some reason...

A big shoutout and thanks to everyone on all the sites that have contributed and helped to it! Most of which were from Tumblr and few of the artists there who reblogged the post to get attention/spread awareness of this project.

Enjoy! (Battle of Stalingrad link to be uploaded shortly)

Direct copy paste from my post on SAS1946.
A few of you may have seen my Community Project - Navy Graffiti Skin post and some people have asked me if there will be a IL-2 1946/FB Version. Now with the skin done (since it was a Battle of Stalingrad skin) and finished (though I need to post some updated screenies), I've just finished off a slightly modified version of this for 1946 users to experience this skin too and to use it if they wish to, or to have it in their collection.

This skin consists of mostly modern memes/internet trends rather than classic Navy Graffiti since I took to Tumblr and other forums to get some pieces of work for this skin, so, that should pretty much explain it's lack of historic comments..

Not bad, ambience is very good. I liked the bit where you go into the tunnel area and the turret surprises you. A shame it ends kind of unceremoniously. Good job otherwise!

I accidentally stumbled upon a comment on Interlopers by Jman:
I think what I don't like the most about the modern internet/modding scene is that communities are so impersonal, stuff like Reddit and Twitter I never really notice the same screen names and build up my friends list like I did with these types of forums.

This sums up pretty well what's happening globally. Communities used to be really tight-knit in the past I guess.
I wonder if the facebookification of the internet is correlated with higher degrees of depression.

I can't tell if "And she also looks a lot like you!" is supposed to be a blessing or a curse =P

Also apparently I never commented on this, so I feel to make the above joke I probably should throw something in.

There's not a doubt in my mind that she'll grow up well with you behind her, Urby.
