looks good from the screenshot - from my experience I know that its not a really good idea to make 2 maps out of one. its best to decide for one goal.

That's something I can't afford. I've played this map for week's with some fridns just to polish the itens positions. Maybe only playng with many player's you can notice it."

I explained that in the long review that wasnt sent for some reason ^^
okay you seem to start in the town all the time but there are hardly any weapons or items. but if you manage to get away from there youll find lots of stuff that make you extremely strong. so if you got the crossbow and the rpg and picked up a long jump and got to a higher position you pratically cant die. you can just spawnkill everyone and they dont stand a chance. even if they hit you with like the glock or the beegun you will be healed by all the items lying around you.

ok it wasnt send later.. okay some points of the replay:
great atmosphere/theme/graphics except for the blocky cars
very bad item placement = results in unfair gameplay
dead ends and places with nothing where items could/should have been.
7/10 = 4 stars

I wrote a detailed review for you and submitted it, but somehow it wasnt send. This is really frustrating. maybe its just a bug and it will be shown later.

awesome detailwork on the bear and the statue. Im very impressed.
The fire kinda sucked though ^^ a mini texture stretched to the max ;)?
well that was probably on purpose. The HOM effect made me LoL ;D
but the greatest thing was Worldcraft of course - I managed to jump into it, but never got out xD the gibs made my HL crash x)
those doors must have been a lot of work too when I think about it.

yeah The_Challenge is a special map which took me months to create and I think its the map on which I spent most effort ever. So I actually think the same thing, but ^_^! of course theres nothing wrong with this map either ;)
I thought I cant just play The_Challenge everytime I start SvenCoop so I made some more maps :D

maybe if you play it without any others they seem that way.
If you go at it with 10 people they dont seem that way at all.

Does this map somehow fuck up your HL? because I cant start a server anymore with HL I cant even select a map. Searching for something suspicious the only thing I found was that next to the HL title in my windows was "Uplink" Ill probably have to reinstall it..

You can play this map on CozmosShredders Server. you can vote or ask the admins to change the map. You can play my other svencoop maps there too :) hf

Im too lazy to read what the others wrote, but heres my opinion:
I liked the crazy alien sounds ~ well at the beginning.. ^^
the second headcrab was stuck in the wall ^^ (btw I had a flashlight and a suit because there was no cfg file i had a crowbar and a pistol too)
You can definetly improve your mapping skills. Try to make the objects look like they got a correct size (texturing). dont add new brushes infront of a wall to make doors. carve them if you dont know better ^_^"
The zombie in the hall just spawned over and over again without a reason.
Make him come out of a hole or something if you must ^,^
The dark room was a bit annoying, but it was fun to find the button and the light switch as well. The map was a bit short ^^ if you play it with 10 ppl this map will take 2 minutes xD
btw was there a reason for the baverage machine to explode xD? ??
well nice one for your first svencoop map! seen worse

ah another thing: maybe Im just used to the strength of the soldiers in svencoop, but the human grunts were awesomely weak. They walked around on their scripted ways and didnt even notice that I was shooting at them.
i.e. the scene where they come through the metal door. I could just stand in the corner await their appearance and shoot them coming in and they didnt do a thing. ^^

awesomeness! I remember having played this before, but it must be so long ago that I can hardly remember. So beside the health/hev chargers I dont know what youve changed, but this was big fun to play!

2 things:
  • if you hurry to get to the gargantua scene there are 2 of them ^^"
(which causes a conflict and they block each other)
  • the messages say "DEMOTXT" all the time ^^ ?

there are no decals on the road... ?
the going inside sequence adds to the gameplay.
it gives the map a lot of speed.

if you look at the picture you can see clearly that the sky doesnt fit the rest of the map and that the textures dont fit the objects (the island) maybe choose a larger texture. nice idea with the house on the island thats fun x)

peepz this map was more like a joke when I made it.
I actually tested something with the gausscannon and made a simple house.
then I recognized how much fun it is to jump around from house to house.
and simply made a map out of it. This map is old and I wont change it anymore and of course I know that it looks very simple, but the main point why I uploaded this map is because its so much fun to play. for all you tausluts out there xD

I tested the map and I think its quite unique from the graphics point of view as well as considering the gameplay. I really like the lightning and the architechture. The r_speeds are awesome for such a map style.

I didnt like the way youre a target when you spawn. you fall down and youre probably well visable to all players so everyone can shoot at you because they exactly know where youre going you will have to use the one way up which is brillant for camping with the rpg. But I also believe that its great fun to camp on this map when its played with a lot of players.

you dont actually need the longjump on this map you can hardly use it anywhere. instead some more weapons might have been a good idea.

a scientists comes says hello to the other one.
then they stare at each other for a minute
then one of them says: I really dont know.
then he talks about the stench and the other
guy says he was gonna leave and does so.
It was so not funny, but I guess it just didnt
work correctly

I didnt "block" noclip in anyway. When I tested the map when I made it I used noclip to go through the wall so..
