Pokemon Blue. I played that 12 years ago and I already thought it was crap.

At least these three assumptions.

So, no.

You also forget at least these three.

3. I'll meet someone with whom marriage will be considered a possibility.
4. I'll actually consider it a possibility.
5. I'll meet someone.

Hm... check date... nope, not april 1st.

Well, you'll never see me doing that sort of crazy shit like getting married.

Can't see the image. Grats, I guess. Or not. You know what they say - a man isn't complete until he's married. Then he is finished. Or something like that.

Have fun with it.
Commented 12 years ago2011-05-31 02:43:29 UTC in vault item: Panels that change texture when you step on them Comment #19181
It's on a timer. You step in, hit the trigger, the panel lights. Then after a preset time, the panel goes back off and the trigger resets. BUT, if you're still standing on the panel (or rather, in the trigger) you immediately turn it back on.

So technically, while you're standing there, the panel keeps going off and back on, even if only for a frame or two.

Not much into that style.

I hate GA events. I saw Jamiroquai like that. I got early and was within arm's reach from the stage, I got fucking crushed against the railing so bad that before the first track was over I decided I had to leave. I couldn't until the 3rd song but then I started pushing and went some 20-30m away. I had plenty of room back there so I could enjoy the rest of the show.

It's great to see your favourite bands live.

I thought you just needed to know its dimensions.

If the details you set above are not wrong and you're indeed trying to compile a map with a func_vehicle for use in HALF-LIFE, it will NEVER work. func_vehicles are only coded in Counter Strike and will not work in any other game.

If it's not that, someone linked to a tutorial on vehicles a few days ago, you might want to check that in case you missed something.

Select the whole truck, all of its brushes. Then look at the bottom right of the Hammer window; in the cell to the left of "Snap: ON Grid: ##" you'll see something like "384l 128w 192h". That'd be length, width, and height respectively, although maybe not necessarily in that order (I'm just reciting out of memory).

Zoom is not a replacement for a dolly. You're better off walking. Look in Youtube, there are plenty of videos showing how to build a makeshift steadicam with a tripod or other trinkets.

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=JW6AWmqa8ZM > No expense if you have a tripod.

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=-greCWhItUw > Some expense if you're feeling rich.

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=gp_svVd3Wv4 > I didn't watch this one. Seems like an intermediate expense. [edit: skip the first 3:00 of nonsense]
Commented 12 years ago2011-05-16 00:20:14 UTC in journal: #7219 Comment #57576
Here's some advice: Use a separate sound recorder. Speech will be clearer and the zoom motor won't disturb the final product. Also good for not cutting the audio track on each and every different camera angle.

Photography could be improved. Some films make good use of mediocre footage, but this is mediocre use of bad footage :P

Slightly shaky and zoom shots are often used. You just need to know how to use them.

Also I find that chick's voice annoying. :P

No, you idiot. They're not using this to deliver malware to you, they're "offering" to hold EVERY SINGLE FILE of yours in THEIR OWN servers.

Just like banks do with your money - THEY have it, not YOU. But YOU give it to them, and THEY give it back - IF they want. And while you're not watching, they can do anything with it - spend it, pocket it, whatever. You will never know if your money is being used by someone else, or what it is being used for. The bank can very well give away all that money, or keep it to themselves. Why do you think everyone is so invested in helping banks not go bankrupt? If they go down, you go down too.

Same with digital files. They aren't just giving away free infinite storage space, they are holding everyone's information. Whether it is junk or banking data, they don't care - every single byte has the potential to be worth millions in some form or another. And since they hold it all, they have complete access to it all, and they can use it however they see fit - use it to serve ads, steal your banking information, steal your revolutionary ideas, or just plain sell it to the highest bidder.

What can you store in a computer? EVERYTHING. It can be a 5-year-old's junk paint drawings, BUT it can also be compromising photos of someone, top-secret floor plans of an ultra-secure facility, and so on. Every byte has the potential to be the latter, nobody in power would pass on the chance to own something that can turn the world around - in other words, nobody with power would pass on the opportunity to attain MORE POWER.

No thank you.

The instant would be lost forever. Some things you can't ask permission for - you'd ruin the mood. At most, ask if the person is ok with it and offer to delete it if they're not.

Unfortunately we were busy with the day's assignments and she finished and left before I did, so I'll have to wait a week until I see her again.

Well I am indeed partially afraid that she might suppose I have been taking photos of her since day one and I have some sort of shrine dedicated to her. And of course, panic, threaten me and then send the police. We've all seen that in countless films :P

Yeah do that. Nothing to lose.

I once hadn't shave for like months, so I had a considerably thick beard. One day decided to shave, and I started from the sides. When I got to the middle, I looked like Orlando Bloom and I thought it was so funny I almost kept it, but then I decided I didn't have the nerve to go out like that. Where was I going with this?
