I said "but" because you said "Visiting other parts of the world". In my opinion, something very close to my country isn't considered another part of the world, but rather a part of the part of the world where I am.

And, I have a habit of adding all sorts of words on the beginning of my sentences:
actually, in fact, and, but, however, although, despite, even though, well, fortunately, unfortunately, apparently, albeit etc.
despite there being no need for them. ;)
I think I should use those only when needed to express a certain thought.

That's it. I'll go to Montenegro because my request was completed. And as you've seen, the request was playing CS 1.6 in my school, on my school map (We couldn't load the school map on Selena's laptop, so we had to play on de_dust2).

Many many people fail to realise this:
I've never said that going to Montenegro is bad.
Where on Earth did you even find "nearby = bad"? I didn't write it anywhere. xD

And, well... we didn't have any offers for Cro-
Actually we did, but we voted for Montenegro because the previous generations would go there.

But Montenegro is right next to BiH. We will go there by bus, it's just a little pinch longer than going to my country's capital.
Basically, what I've said implies that I'll go on the trip, so...

@Archie
The blog was formatted in HTML, unlike TWHL's BBCode. Converting it would've taken time!

The map itself will be released both on GB and TWHL. It's just an improved version of my school map which was made in 7th grade.
The new school map for Sven Co-op, however, is going to be much much better than this.

I didn't want to go to Montenegro because, well... I have this "fear" of travelling because I've never travelled outside of my country.
(this "event" of playing CS in school was accomplished, therefore I promised to go on the trip)

And I don't kiss anyone, just Jody. After all, my girlfriend loves kissing (and cuddling, too). :3

@Shepard62700FR
You didn't understand.

Basically, I made a deal:
"If Selena and I play CS in school, I will go on the trip."

(by the way, she didn't have to win in CS, it was just a friendly, casual introduction to the game)

An actual resonance cascade wouldn't be a good thing. Basically, the whole gaming industry would collapse. Imagine all these consoles and PCs getting rekt by aliens. That would be so unfortunate. :(

Let's just hope it doesn't happen.

Plagiarism?
I'll have to do some research on it (because I don't even know what it is xD), then try to remove plagiarised content from my journal :/

Edit:
"Plagiarism is the act of taking another person's writing, conversation, song, or even idea and passing it off as your own."

I don't see any plagiarism in my journal, unless you were implying that your own post, @Ghost129er, contains plagiarism :)

A 120 GB SSD performs better than a 1 TB HDD, sure.
But I'm not looking for speed, because the 1TB HDD is already fast enough for my needs, and it has lots of space. The SSD is more than fast enough for my needs, but contradictory, it has much less space.

When Half-Life 3 comes out, I'll buy myself the following hardware:
  • An SSD
  • A GTX 1070
  • An Intel Core i7 processor
  • And a 2TB HDD.
So, when will it happen? Either in the far future, or never.

Urgent edit:
My laptop's HDD is a 120GB HDD.
Right now I have 6GB of free space on it.

And THAT is why I don't want a stupid 120 GB SSD. I would run out of space!

Your RAM's speed DDR4-2400 doesn't match the one of the motherboard (DDR4-2133), you should use RAM that matches the speed of your motherboard (the RAM won't work or you will get serious speed loss).
Hmm, looks like I'll have to find even more shops just to find a DDR4-2400 mobo, or DDR4-2133 RAM. Damn, I live with such harsh limitations. Maybe I'll find that eventually, or maybe I'll even order parts from other countries (if my father allows that). Interesting...
install windows xp and stop watching porn, then it will be fast as hell
I'm 14, I don't watch porn, eww. Besides, I have a girlfriend, why is there a need for porn? XD
I'd love to install XP on it, but then I'd lose some of my needed compatibility.
I made a mistake and I don't want that it happens to you with your future PC. Every time I start my computer and I open the task bar right away, Windows 10 always report a 100% disk usage.
Mistakes are made, what else can I tell you?
I'll still buy a HDD. Wait a minute. I don't even "play" games. I only test my maps on them and that's all I really do :P
[...] replacing a boot spindle drive with an SSD is probably the best value for money.
When a 500GB SSD costs $40 or less I will buy it. Period.

Windows 10 sounds good to me, but mostly in a VM :)

What a lot of you didn't understand is, I'm not complaining how slow my laptop is, and I won't do anything about it (e.g. upgrading).

I'm totally fine with 5-25fps in every game on low, because I don't even play those games for playing. I play them only to test my maps :P
In fact, my eyes are used to seeing low framerates every day. When I rarely see a 60fps video, my brain gets a pleasant, tickling feeling, though :3

And, what's the point of upgrading my laptop now, when I can save money for my dream PC?

Edit:
Why I'm not getting an SSD --> according to next.ba a 120GB SSD is around 140BAM (70€). For 150BAM (75€) I can buy a 1TB HDD. That's why I'm not going to get an SSD until year 2020.

Use Windows 8/8.1 or disable Aero
NEVER!!! This community has such a big lack of empathy towards me, man...
Defragment your C:/ partition
I defrag every 3 months. Well, I've never defragged except in December. Really, it was my first time defragging. I'll defrag in February soon.
Save 10% of whatever you earn
Customs and habits are quite different in my country. I don't earn money. Although, that doesn't mean that I don't have 140BAM (70€) in my wallet >:D
Be sure to have as little services [...]
I only keep my needed programs in the background, they include:
  • Steam
  • Discord
  • Skype
  • Viber (though I often terminate it in Task Manager)
Now, there are also services from svchost.exe
I actually saw that it was once using 50% of my system resources, and it turns out that it was Windows Update. I disabled it immediately (pirated copy of Windows 7).

Nice :D

Looks like some of my advice is applied here. I didn't think how will you place the triggers, but now it looks like you placed 1 trigger for each spawn. I never thought like that :)

I thought that you will place maybe 1 trigger "wall" which is on the entrance of a hall, or something. The mechanism can be greatly optimised (by looking at the screenshots), but it's great nonetheless.

Not really. The 'soft G' only prolongs the vowel behind it, or blends the 2.
In degil's case, it blends the E and I.

Turkish, like Slavic languages and some other ones, is always pronounced phonetically (unless you have a heavy accent).

A great example is:
'Ben eve gidiyorum.'
'I am going home.'
That's also the example behind its SOV structure (but I already mentioned that). The subject goes first, then the object, and lastly, the verb.
'Ben' is 'I', 'ev' is 'home' (eve is towards/to home), 'gidiyorum' is 'am going'.

When I was working on my mod, I realised how hard it was to mod.
If you want an epic, dedicated mod it will take away your soul and body. Of course, if you're doing it alone by yourself.

I wasn't ready for it because I didn't have time to learn modelling and coding.
Why? Because I was rushing everything, I wanted to finish the mod in 1 year.

So it's not that hard. The only thing you need is patience.

SpongeHalf SquareLife. Why not?
You can think up a story about Spongebob and Patrick hunting jellyfish. Then something goes wrong at Krusty Krab, and they have to reach Plankton's evil lair to retrieve the Krabby Patty formula. So classic...

You would need cartoony textures, maps (obviously), new models (definitely), new sounds, and maybe a little bit of code.
If you're planning on making new entities and changing some AI behaviour, then you will need C++.

Here's an idea:
Replace the crowbar with the spatula :D

Always considered? We were forced to do that in 6th grade :P

I use every language I know when possible. I think in English mostly. I only use Bosnian when I'm thinking/talking directly to myself. I'll give my experiences with some languages, briefly:

When I chat with Germans, I understand them sometimes (oh, immer diese Deutschen). Hallo :)

And especially the Russians! Oh my God, they write everything phonetically:
Source engine - sors motor
Half-Life - half lajf
Russians rule, man :D
"Write how you speak, and read how it's written." - Slavic #1 rule
Zdravstvujte :D

And the Turks. I played HL:DM on a Turkish server. They complained about my ping. I had around 400ms. Still got 40 kills, with a low framerate.
Merhaba :)

Edit: The rule above applies to all Slavic languages. And I didn't use Cyrillic because, well, of this website, you know...

English is my 4th language, somehow. I also know some of Russian and Spanish.

Bosnian, Croatian and Serbian differ by 5%. Only. And so I learned the differences, and now I speak all 3. And as soon as Stojke reads that, he will be angry.

And, Jody (that's her name) is merely 20 centimeters taller than me, and I'm 1.75 meters. So her height is 6.3 feet, I guess? Not that tall, IMO.
And what's really long about her is the tail, don't get me started on that, please.

One could easily track down where I live, good point. And then they would come at me, not very good.

And since I make maps, and a lot of other things, I think that all I told you above is pretty much 80% of the information you'll ever read about me.
Therefore, I'm stopping being very informative about myself.
Commented 7 years ago2016-09-22 14:43:06 UTC in journal: #8748 Comment #62915
I'm not sure about you, but I have been glued to a PC, since I was 4, and it probably brought me almost 0% social life (I've never gone out by myself), including cracky bones (but I like cracking them, so whatever), but the lifestyle has brought me a lot of nice things, too:

1. New times, new opportunities
Perhaps the thing I wanted to know when I was 4, was "how did they make this game?". Well, I do know now, 10 years later, so that's a plus.

Also, having good skills with computer software (and perhaps making software) and probably with assembling hardware, can open a lot of more opportunities when it comes to finding a job, or in education, because there are so many different fields in the IT industry:
-programming/software engineering
-server administration
-video production
-music production (some people live off of making music in FL Studio)
-art
-game design (found your own game studio, or become employed in a popular game company)
And so on...

2. I am the first one who is asked, when something isn't OK, in the entire town

So yeah, until I was 9, my dad fixed all the computer-related issues.
And when I started troubleshooting on my own at the age of 10, I started rocking at it. I did my own OS re-installs, cracked my own bought games (yes, this country has paid pirated games) etc.

Lel, when I was 10 I still plugged off my PC, instead of shutting it off. No wonder I had to reinstall Windows XP 2 times a month.

3. I learned tons of information

So this one was already mentioned above, but here we go again:
At the moment, I know these languages: Bosnian, Serbian, Croatian, English, Turkish, and a bit of German, Russian and Spanish, and barely some words in French, Latin and only 1 word in Polish and Chinese.

Of course, there are other things too, like mapping. How would I learn mapping if I never went to the Internet? The same applies for texturing, modelling, coding, music making and video editing.

4. A little amount of friends

Now, not real life friends, but Facebook friends. Some of you have thousands of FB friends, I only have less than a 100, and I don't know 20 of them, who are actually my classmates' parents.

Seriously, I hate Facebook. I mean, it's the biggest time eater in the world. Facebook users spend hours glued at their chat box. And one of my classmates, specifically, the one I used to love, uses our school's Wi-Fi to use Facebook Messenger.
She chats during small breaks! How ridiculous is that! She has the option of face-to-face conversation with another classmate in the same classroom, but instead she just chats with her.

Now, my obsession with Facebook started in 5th grade, 4 years ago. But then, everyone was annoyed by me. I was annoying to them, but they're just jealous because I have excellent marks from most of the subjects. +I map for a plenty of games

So, 1 year later, in 2013, I fell in love, but I wanted to kill myself because she didn't like me at all. So I became paranoid, and life didn't make sense anymore.

The "crisis" still carried on in 2014, again, life didn't make any sense, and I wanted to do suicide. (In 2015, things turned out greatly, and I deactivated my FB account a year later).

And, having mentioned 2014, it's one of my favourite years! That's when:

5. I started mapping for Counter-Strike

Finally, my old glory has returned at the end of that year!
I shouted to my bro: "Ajdin!!! I'm making a map change!" (He calls maps "map changes", it's Sven Co-op's fault).

And that's the story of Crater 2015, my first map ever.

Then I started ambitious projects, and 90% of them failed, even though the idea was good. The only surviving projects were: 'school_destroy' and 'project_oldcastle' which turned into dm/fy_stoned.

So yeah, I had a great pre-teen-hood. Now I'm 14, and I've never been better! ALL because of me powering on a PC at the age of 4.

Now, I obviously missed a lot of things during my childhood: hanging out with friends, walking along the streets of Stolac, learning about my country's landscape etc.

But no, I don't regret for not hanging out with my friends. In fact, these "friends" turned into street people, they swear at everything (oh, the profanity!), they have no culture and proper behaviour, and are overall degenerics.
Some of them, at the age of 13, started smoking and drinking beer! And exactly all of th--- OK, let's not mention that, it's not for kids. Let's just say it's a sin in Islam, and it's a bad thing to do, even though some doctors say it's healthy.

Well, that's exactly why I don't regret it, because I'll soon move on to high school, and then college, and those "friends" will probably work as soldiers (not a great paycheck here), or work another low-paid job.

Well, I've made my point here. Admer456 out!

The moment I came here:

Back on topic:
Anyways, I think how that happening is quite normal, because it happened to my cousins, and my brother, but in a different way.

As an example, I gave my Android phone to one of my closer relatives (she has around 6 months of age), with an accordion app opened, so I could somehow entertain her.

Guess what. She played a chord like a pro, with her 2 tiny hands. My aunt started laughing at that.

So yeah, I think it's very normal for the ultra-young people to embrace technology very quickly.

Like my brother, who is 6, and my cousin-neighbour, who is 8, they both know the difference between a PS4, Xbox One, and a PC (alas, modern children typically learn that at that age).

My brother has a Roblox account, and he plays Roblox every day. He once tried to map for it, but it was a lot different from GoldSrc, so I also didn't know.

And then my cousin, he just knows everything, but just like me, he doesn't have any of that (a PS4, a copy of GTA V, a debit card). The same goes for my brother, I still owe him a copy of Portal 2 which I promised for his birthday.

And all 3 of us know about the HTC Vive and Oculus Rift. Because the first thing we used to do was going to the Internet and watching videos about it.

So, there's the outcome:
If you're given a multimedia device, you will learn a lot, in a relatively very small amount of time.
