Heh, getting this game right now for PC. I liked it on PS3, but I agree with what Pb said. Some of the forced combat scenes are really tedious and demand near perfection if you get yourself in a bad spot.

If they improve on that and the presentation/story, I'll easily give it's inevitable sequel a shot.

Wow, that Iron Man 2 poster looks like a bodgy Photoshop job.

Still, I want to see it.

Assassin's Creed 2 is great. So much improvement over the first, and so much to do to fill your time. And the soundtrack is awesome, as Habboi mentioned.

Aww, that's a shame ChickenFist, but I know the feeling.

But hey, if you ever start it again, I'm so there for help.

What actually happened to the Source version of Flat-Life Chickenfist showed here? I really would liked to have mapped for and helped with that. :<

There are icon suites out there for making "proper" icons. That is icons that have at least 256x256, 48x48, 32x32, 16x16 variants etc. Windows can take care of that by default, but the scaling method isn't that great, so it's usually better to make these versions yourself.

"If you have Fireworks, you have photoshop, right? Use that instead."

Actually, for icons, I would recommend Fireworks over Photoshop. It handles vector graphics and layers much more precisely.

Major slowdown when you emerge from the ground into the burned-out room, second map I think. Smoke particles everywhere probably had something to do with it.

Mapping seems quite nice so far, but I have to say an awful lot of the custom and ported skins and models you're using don't fit the design of Half-Life at all. They stand out far more than they should.

He certainly sounds like one, but he has a smidge of a point.

Left 4 Dead 1 & 2 are made for the masses. That is the Halo-loving, I-lack-depth masses.

People who have always enjoyed Valve's work can still have fun with it for a while, but it's brought so many mindless idiots over it's not funny. The Steampowered forum for L4D2 is proof of that.

Only read through these blogs quickly, but it sounds like there's some new halloween hats, tied to 5 time-limited halloween achievements, on a special halloween map? With ghosts and exploding pumpkins? Oh, and candy pickups?

Damn I love Robin Walker's team.

Been using this for a few months now, not the RC either. Haven't tried GoldSource mapping on it, but I've had very little trouble with drivers and compatibility in general (so far).

Support for 32 bit software is good, pretty problem free for me.

I'm a big Resident Evil fan Tito, even if the old games had a control scheme resembling last nights dinner. They've got a lot of very cheesy charm to them.

House of the Dead was pretty fun, too.

"But then again, who tired of killing the endless hordes of undead??"

I did, very quickly. :P

I think the game desperately needs something special, something that breaks up the repetition. Survival mode was a joke, it's the same thing you always do, but with a counter going up, and this new Scavenge mode is the same thing with a counter going down. Valve must have hurt their brains coming up with that.

That's pretty funny because Valve and EA are now forking out 25 million dollars to advertise L4D2. And fittingly it's the most mainstream, shallow, console-ish looking game Valve have ever done.

Even the greats can fall so low. I just hope they can pick themselves up afterwards.
