well, it has nice detailafter taking a closer look at it, let me say it has very nice detail. i only took a quick look for obvious problems the first time. also, i bet it looks even better with something other than blank white textures on everything (the way it showed up in my hammer). id like to see it when its finished
Try setting up a LAN server with your mapin case you dont know how, just clicj "create server" from the splash screen.
okay that helped with the Muzzle flashes,for that you can use an env_shooter. give it the same name as the ambient_generic you used for the gun sound.
but, i still have no idea how to make the shells eject from the gun.
FindPortalSide: Couldn't find a good match for which brush to assign to a portal near (-816.0, 779.5, 28.0)1. read the tut for setting up hammer i posted in here like 10 times in the last week. look where it says build programs. you're using valve compile tools for bsp, and zoners for vis, which didnt run... neither did rad.
Can I point the bsp to something like desktop or a random folder, then move it to maps folder.or, if the problem is the @ like rabid said, you should be able to just rename that folder and take out the @... right? but if you did that, you'd also need to reconfigure hammer to let it know where all your stuff is since it will be looking for it all in a non-existant folder with an @ sign in it.
arent those just models?sort of. for example if you want to make a dune buggy, you just put the point entity "prop_vehicle_jeep" in your map, and instead of making the buggy brush by brush, you just asign it the model "models/buggy.mdl" like anthony said. it's really pretty simple.
I know everybody asked this question but I couldnt understand any of the vehicle tutorials so anyone who could make an example map of drivable car...if this is for hl2, there's a vehicle example map included in the sdk.

You must've crushed him there, really, he's probably devastated.na, the ratings have nothing to do with it. i just proved him to be a complete loser in there. i chose to keep the fight between us where no one would ever look (his maps ), but he kept trying to argue with me out in the forums and shoutbox etc. andy said this was disruptive to the site, so i wouldn't respond to his angry little infantile remarks... i'd just post a link to his maps comments... where i obviously tore him a new one.

And I use rotate and fit in the textur applicaiton all the time.and neither of those will make the door how you want it. just do this:
the quickest way for him to do what he wants is to just use the To Face methodyeah, i didn't know if the arrow pointed up, down, left, or right on the texture or if he meant opposite direction when he said "other direction" or if he wanted to get the arrow to point the opposite than it shows up normally when you browse it. i was just giving a generic answer factoring in all the unknowns. you're probably right about him just using the to face method, as he probably just wants the back of the door to match the front...
how I make the arrows on door (C1AOB_DR4B) point the other way?i don't know which way the arrow points on that texture, but you can use your "toggle texture application" tool in the left tool bar to turn it around.
