Back from schoolies! it was off tha hookkkk!! but now im soooo fuckedd!
Latest news, got a new labrador puppy, called Monty, hes a nut case
and I got my new gaming/family computer, specs:
staying with XP
e8500
nvidia gtx 260
4gb ddr2
gigabyte 775pin mobo
antec tp 750w
antec 902
asus dvd/cd/burner drive
i also bought the valve complete pack over steam, but im faced with a massive dilemma, i only get 10gb/month download, and am on adsl2+ but ive gone over the quota, so now ive been given dialup speeds til the end of the month :'( (10kb/s downloads from steam) but what makes things EVEN worse is that I can't even start the download, while it is 'preparing the files for install' the load bar completes but the next button remains un-clickable and steam either freezes or is going to need 2 days to allow me to press next
is there any way that i can get the games onto my computer without downloading off steam, considering theres approximately 25-30gb of dloads and i only get 10gb/month - would copying the files of a friend's computer work?

Well, I'm bored and I haven't posted a journal in a while, so here's one.
There's very heavy rain here at the moment, and there's some bad flooding. The area where my uncle works is in about eighteen inches of water, flowing pretty rapidly, so that place has been shut down. One of the bridges in town has become unstable, the water is now almost over the bridge, and it's been closed off. If it collapses, it will probably dam the river and cause the water level to rise enough to flood the place where my dad works. A few streets away from where I'm sitting now is a field that now resembles a lake, and all of the schools in town have been shut down bar the one I used to go to, which is odd because it's the only one right next to the river. The military are around helping with rescuing some of the worst affected people. It's odd though, my house is in a valley yet it's affected no worse than any other time that there's rain. I feel I've got off lucky.
Edit: Oh yes, I've been a member of TWHL for 1000 days now. Over a quarter of the time that Half-Life has been out. Sweet.

A little something to fill the void left by the absence of 6D...
Only having internet for a short time and being at my GF's place for the weekend, I've had under 2 hours of internet time. I've only been to TWHL and Gmail, and I GOT A MOTHERFUCKIN VIRUS! Nasty shit too... did a quick google and there was so little useful information on it, including from the library of AVG. Ad Aware picked it up and it wasn't in its library nor did it have any information on it beside it was from China and it had the highest maximum threat level possible.
So at first when playing MW2 online I was raging, being spawn killed constantly, people always shooting me in my back and random-ass missiles and boxes coming from the sky made me want to power roundhouse my TV out of my window and off into the sky Team Rocket style.
But now that I've got my head around it all, It's slowly growing on me, minus a few occasions where I've bit my pad, threw it on the floor and literally screamed 'Fuck' at maximum vocal capabillities numerous times.
Apart from all that rage, I've ordered Assassins Creed 2, so that should be here in the next few days, woop! ANNNNNNND something I've been working on for far too long is almost finished, and by almost I mean last minute tweaks and figuring out the VPK stuff.
All I'm gunna say is that there are no rescue boats on this ship, so It looks like you've got some amount of work to do whilst being pretty wet.

Well, i hate my father, he lied to me many times in the past, and even abused me and my mother, physically and mentally, Ive grown rebellious to him, he isn't happy, but i have found he has been lieing to me more lately. and i have DIS OWNED THE BASTARD. he can have fun with his new family. the 3 kids he only met 7 months ago, and his friend he hasn't seen in over 10 years. and then, after that, i found a nice page for flat life on half life library, to see someone left a nice comment about me. but i deleted it.

So I received another email from my contact to say they would like me to come down to some pub event for L4D 2.
"Basically zombies will be taking over a London pub, there?s going to be DJ?s and live bands (The Priscillas), some special guests and gaming pods. It?s basically going to be a fun night out with lots of alcohol, music and zombies."
Sadly I'm at uni from 6-6 and wouldn't have the energy but also because it's L4D 2 which I've already played and wasn't interested in.
Oh well. At least they care that I'm there.
(I've also realised that the people that contact me run a site that look out for bloggers and press so that they can literally "give" us content to write about by inviting us to events. So in other words, they'll probably invite me to all the games events they get.)

So... last night I did something I haven't done in a long time. I opened up a particular CSS map which happens to be a MOTM winner from a few months back, played for about 10 minutes, before opening up a blank document and started to sum up all the good points and bad points in a semi ammusing manner.
Basically, I reviewed it. I plan to read it out into a microphone soon too.

I recieved a pleasant phone call today. The man on the other end told me that my preordered retail copy of L4D2 would be available for pickup tomorrow morning, first thing. Apparently, the shipment arrived 2 days ahead of schedule and as it actually has no 'street release date,' they can sell it right now. Which means it coincides with the Steam release date so i'll be out there with the rest of them tomorrow.

I'm sick. I mean, super sick. Friday at school, me and a couple of guys joked with swine-flu masks from the local pharmacy, but the joke turned out into illness... well, at least it's not swine flu.
The problem is, I live in a village, and my flu or whatever is this got very bad in just too days. I mean, Sunday I had around 38C, and whenever I stood up, when I moved my image blurred(epic effect).
Monday I finally got o the doctor, and they said I was close to injections.
Fortunately I have my meds now and I feel better, but still bad.
I made some progress with another gmod map. I initally started it with the ideea of creating a stadium, but it came out a ridiculously different map. I want to call it gm_abandonedfield, but even this name doesn't describe it well !

No lie.
I was going to sleep and my girlfriend was reading a book next to me on the bed, I caught a white hazy glowing figure move across the open door in the center of my living room. I was skeptical I had seen it and apparently she had seen it from the corner of her eye as well. As we were staring in confusion into the darkness of the living room, it passed by again the other direction, we both seen it plain as day.
I like it here <3

Well I thought I may aswell write a quick journal as I'm seriously bored, and in a very Half-lifey mood.
Hmm life at the moment, I'm just finishing year 12 now, one last exam to go! Hoping to study Civil Engineering next year at university. The exam is on thursday, its Sunday night at the moment, I really should be studying! On Friday til Monday, I have schoolies, (all school leavers in the state go to the same seaside town to party at a massive festival - similar to spring break for all you Americans out there, except its gonna be seriously insane!... can't wait!) then when I return, I hope to be very active with my mapping and the TWHL community along side working at Target alot, and getting drunk and partying
