Some of you might already know about this, so this is for those of you not in the know:

Did any of you PS3 owners see this coming? Let's just say if it happens, which most likely it will happen, it will mean that one of the best argument PS3 fanboys have for owning a PS3 instead of a Xbox360 will evaporate.

Sure, The PS3 is more powerful and it's games are more prettier looking than the Xbox360's games, but what really counts to people is having something that's really good......for free. But once you remove that special something that people are already used to having it for free, well....it should be very interesting to see what happens next.

What might be coming:

When I first started to read this news report, I said to myself "what a waste of tax payer's money"! I mean come on, the government buying a shit load of PS3's to do a technical experiment? Well, I hope it gets some very, very, very good results, because if it does not and the way the economy is, some Air Force General's head will be on the proverbial chopping block:

Well, ever since the 14th of December 1997, it's finally has happened. After just 39 days in theaters, James Cameron's Avatar surpassed Cameron's own Titanic on Monday at the worldwide box office to become the highest-grossing film of all time. Both released by 20th Century Fox, Avatar has reached $1,858,866,889 while Titanic earned $1,843,201,268 total.

The studio says that a whopping' 72% of Avatar's ticket sales, or $1.35 billion, has come from 3D venues. The domestic total now stands at $554.98 million, which still trails Titanic's $600.8 million, but probably not for long. Internationally, the film has reached $1.3 billion compared to Titanic's $1.242 billion.

Personal Comment: Well I suppose it's official, that the future of cinema is 3D, there is no going back now. This also means that it will be overall lot more expensive to go to the theaters soon, regardless what movie you go see, since now every movie studio will want to jump in to the 3D bandwagon also.

Is it me, or are America's enemies getting dumber by the minute?

Case in point: http://www.foxnews.com/story/0,2933,583588,00.html?test=latestnews

Now, where is the damn proof? Of course, if this was really true, every other country in the world, friend or foe of the U.S., will be shitting in their pants.....

Here we go again,......what the hell is up with Hollywood and their pervasive need of lately to "reboot" everything they get their hands on? I mean, I can understand re-doing an old movie that's perhaps decades old (about 30, 40 or 50 years old or more), this way it can be introduced to a new generation of viewers, I have no problem with that. A good example of this is the upcoming "A-Team" movie, which is based on the popular action series of the 1980's of the same name: http://movies.yahoo.com/movie/1808402981/video/17565315

But what I don't understand is why the hell Sony has the need now to restart the entire Spiderman movie franchise from the beginning! You heard right, apparently Sony has decided to scrap Spiderman 4 and instead start all over again with a new franchise including a whole new cast of actors. Heck, the first Spiderman movie is not even 10 years old yet, let alone the third movie! So what's going on here? Were the first 3 Spiderman movies that bad?

Downright sickest movie yet!

Yep, that's what an upcoming horror movie called "The Human Centipede" is all about, at least to me anyway. Now, don't get me wrong, I like a good horror movie as much as the next guy, but damn.....sometimes there is such a thing as going overboard in weirdness! This has to be a direct to DVD release, I just can't see this being played in regular movie theaters, at least not in the U.S.

Already some of you started your Christmas shopping, while others most likely will wait till the last minute to buy the gifts. Well, with that in mind, I came across this very interesting, but rather depressing story which I was not aware of.

Before you click on the link and start reading this messed-up story, please pay specific attention to the paragraphs related to the Sony PlayStation 3 and the Panasonic Lumix Cameras. Really, is any body here surprised by this corporate stupidity and greed?

Oh yea,....I just found a picture of the newly released, official Iron Man 2 movie poster! And by the looks of it, his side kick "War Machine" is looking pretty damn sweet too! Man, this movie is going to ROCK!!!

Now, on a related superhero news story.......

I don't know how many of you here watch the Smallville TV show, but for any of you here that do, here are a couple of screen picks of the upcoming two hour special "Smallville: Absolute Justice". Before any of you say anything,.....yes I know, Hawkman, Doctor Fate and especially Stargirl look campy as hell! Man, they look like they got their costumes from the local costume shop. But hey, what can you expect from something meant for TV?:

A major blow to many pirates out there has just occurred! Mininova.org, one of the biggest and better known torrent sites on the web, has started to restrict itself to non-copyrighted infringed files, which Mininova refers to as "Content Distribution service". It should be very interesting to see how this will affect Mininova's more than 47 million visitors a month web traffic.

Anyway, here's Mininova's blog explaining this in more details: http://mnstat.com/images/blog/index.html

Um,...I don't know how to put this, except to say that some people need to take a break from video games every once in a while, or else their perception of that imaginary line that separates the fantasy world from that of our cold hard reality could merge in their head, and eventually could become a problem. To understand on what I am trying to say here, read the following sad-story case (and pray it never happens to you): http://videogames.yahoo.com/events/plugged-in/man-marries-a-videogame/1376577

This here is a good example when somebody has too much money and over pays for something that by principle, is way over priced in practical terms. Only on eBay will you see this elitist-driven shit happen: http://videogames.yahoo.com/events/plugged-in/rare-atari-game-sells-for-over-5-000/1372999

Interesting Article On Immortality Through Technology was just brought to my attention by one of my fellow VRML world modelers I sometimes chat with in 3D.

Quote: "Telegraph has published a very interesting science article that states that we may be able to be immortal in 20 years in the future. This will be possible through the use of nanotechnology to replace organs with tech, so you become some kind of cyborg."

Well, this may be only available for millionaires. Most people will continue dying of flu, I think.

About 5 years ago, I used to work at this huge furniture warehouse in Pennsylvania. At times, I operated a forklift moving around heavy stuff. In the 2 years working there, I only had one minor accident with the forklift, I accidentally punctured a box I was trying to grab, but the item inside never got damaged, so I lucked out on that one.

Now, after watching this news video of a major forklift/warehouse accident, I count my blessings thanking it was not me: http://www.foxnews.com/video/index.html?playerId=011008&streamingFormat=FLASH&referralObject=11326218&referralPlaylistId=playlist

A few days ago I posted a journal about Microsoft's ridiculous promotion with Burger King's "Windows 7 Whopper": http://twhl.co.za/journals.php?id=6145

The only proof of this I had was the promotion picture I posted on the first journal. Well, you are not going to believe this, but there is this nice looking Japanese female reporter that did a news report on this, went on to order the infamous Windows 7 Whopper, and she actually ate the whole freak'n thing! On camera! I almost threw-up watching her eat that 7 meat-paddy burger!

There are times when I wonder if Japan is the luckiest country in the world. Take for an example the latest promotional partnership between Microsoft and Burger King (...yes, Burger King). Microsoft is celebrating the release of Windows 7 in Japan with a Burger King promotion for the "Windows 7 Whopper". Now, what the hell is the Windows 7 Whopper you ask?

Simple: The Windows 7 Whopper consist of seven stacked beef patties that measure over 5 inches in height, and the whole thing costs an appropriate ?777 (or $8.55). It's available for seven days only, completing the run of sevens.

People, I'm afraid you have to be more than just a puny samurai to eat this one. This has sumo wrestler written all over it.
