I've just ordered an Intel Core i5 760, to replace my i3 530. I'm hoping I'll see some improvements in Bad Company 2, it being a very cpu-heavy game.

So, I'm back here at TWHL again. I've been working at a local college as an assistant at the music programme they have there. Now I'm working as a "central-antenna technician" at a local firm.
This means that for once I actually have some money to spend. I've bought a new hd-tv, 4gb more ram memory, a new 2tb harddrive, a new external soundcard so I can record my guitar at home, and a few games on steam. Life is good!

I got two extra SC2 beta keys from Blizzard today, if anyone's interested, send me a pm. None of my friends play it and I'd hate to see them go unused.
So I got my new computer up and running yesterday. The only issues I have with it is that my Audigy isn't working properly with W7. I can't use sleep mode because when I start it up again the sound won't work.
Not much to do about it really, other than hope that creative releases a proper W7 64bit driver.
Other than that my computer runs perfectly. I'm very satisfied

I've ordered a new computer, or rather the parts of a computer. I've built computers in school but never acutally built one for myself. Gonna be fun!
It won't be top of the line because I can't afford a monster rig, but I'm satisfied with it. I've cut the cost a bit by using the harddrive I'm currently using, as well as the dvd drive and my soundblaster audigy + speakers.

You know how some days everything is just going to hell, like karma decided to be a bitch for no particular reason? Today was one of those days.
First my atm card fails on me so I have to go to the bank on monday and stand in line for an hour or two just to get a new one. This means that while they sit there with their thumbs up their asses like all bank employees do (takes around a week or more to get a new card), I can't do shit because I can't get to my money. On top of that, I lost a micro SD card that I used with my DS to play roms, so all my savefiles are gone. It might seem trivial but I hate losing things, there's nothing that pisses me off more.
EDIT: On a lighter note, I got a Starcraft2 Beta invite, yay!

I just have to mention something that occurred earlier today. I'm currently working with my uncle who is in the moving-business. Today we were going to help a student move from his dorm to a proper apartment in another part of town, and his father wanted to help.
So, as I was stacking boxes and whatnot into the elevator at the ground floor of the apartment complex, the guy's father suggests that he do the stacking and I do the unloading on the second floor. I proceeded to the second floor to wait for the elevator to appear, but after waiting for around two minutes the damn thing still hadn't showed up.
I could hear muffled noises coming from downstairs and I thought that the old man had managed to get himself stuck or something, so I rushed down to help. It turns out that he had pressed the button to go to the floor he was already on and had not noticed this, so he had unloaded all the boxes onto the exact same place there were at before!
A failure of the highest calibre indeed!

I'm painting my apartment right now, it takes a lot longer than I had anticipated, and it's fucking killing my back.
Bedroom is done, and I'm really pleased with the results. Now it's on to the most tedious parts, because I have to move my computer, sofa and tv out of the way. Not looking forward to messing with all the cables behind my computer

Moved to a new apartment last month, and I'm still getting used to it. On the plus side the rent is pretty low and i can get 40mbit broadband if I want to (i settled with 10mbit to save money but it's nice to have the option), and it's a nice apartment with nice neighbours too.
The only bad thing is that I get the morning sun so it's impossible to sleep, especially in the summer when the sun rises at 4:30 in the morning

He's never called or visited during these 10 years, despite the fact that we live in the same town. No birthday cards or anything either. I sort of feel like.. if you have kids, you should be there for them, it shouldn't be up to them to make contact.

I've finally bought TF2! As soon as it's downloaded from Steam I won't be the only one in the galaxy who doesn't have the game. Hooray!
