who can help code? i have no idea of how to code and i only know a tiny bit about what you do with it :S

i see making it with spirit will be the harder way but it will be the most effective way to do it in what we are trying to do with our SP

the training map for cs was made through HL notice the 'loading' pauses? and all the things popping up? they are sequences. The hostages in the training map were coded forms of scientists in HL so they could have immediate travelling paths once 'selected'

yes the ? ? ? is the coordinates of the problems but the compiler doesnt know or cant be stuffed to know where it is, i think hammer does this to make our lives hard :(

ok, mp should be teams (cs) with wario and bowser and stuff on bad guys side and mario and luigi, toad etc on good guys, single player could have a coop mode? (didnt think so) where one player mario other one luigi? if not we have mario rescuing peach from bowser and luigi is a friendly AI sound good?

very very nice maps docrock, im sure u will be a huge help witjh what u have done, i played my mario map at a lan party and everyone loved it and thought it would be a great idea to do a mario mod, ok im getting into modelling a bit and im going to do a lot of mapping, anyone who wants mario.wd im uploading it to twhl.

sure! anyone can! we will just giv u one of the finished WADs once im done with them, but anyone can, it just has to be mario! it is going to have single and multi with bots, the SP should be made with spirit cos its better, if u want to map for it u will have to wait cos we will have to give u the rescources

just go onto the dark side and steal the elevator from the map cs_matrix :badass: well there really is a map called that and it does have an elevator in it but i dont recommend u decompile it and steal the elevator (hey!, whered my elevator go? :confused: )

a lot of things can cause this 'not found on server' problem, it may be that hammer is compiling for a mod but trys to run your map in a different mod, check your settings under 'options' and then check your compile options before you press 'go'

basically you cant judge games just cos a bit of it (some maps) are crap. anyway, here at twhl we aim to produce high quality good fun maps dont we? so lets leave all the crap maps to other people with nothing better to do than endlessely make boring small gay fy maps :D

well, heres the thing, lots of cs maps are really crappy, but lots are really fun that offer lots and lots of different situations and great varied gameplay, a classic is cs_assault for example, i played on this yesterday at a lan place and it was soooo fun and varied i couldnt stop for 2 hours straight! (till i ran outa money) and then there are maps that are real crap and boring (made in like 2 secs and made up of like 5 solids) that are rubbish. there are a lot of ripoff maps like off iceworld (even i have been victim to making a ripoff of iceworld (shame on you jax))

half life multi also has lots of crap maps but good ones aswell, but hl sp is very fun to play thru once and there are maps that are fun once u play thru them the first time but are still very well made and stuff (ex. MINIMICUS) dont get me wrong tho, hl has many many decent maps

basically all im saying is that there are quality maps and there are crap maps, all you have to do is look out for the right things to play to have a fun time

also, sorry bout wasting your time guys i had to get this off my chest :lol:
