instead of trigger auto, use trigger_once.

It's a brush-based trigger...

make a brush covered in the AAATRIGGER texture, select it, hit ctrl + t, select trigger_once and target test1

if you're using photoshop, just fade it into the transparent background layer..

Dont mod HL1 with the Source SDK. that's just silly.

Download Hammer 3.5 from the links page, ZHLT from the links page, and read the beginner tutorials.

He told us what he was mapping for.
CSS uses hammer 4. I wish people would read.

yeah. the player isnt actually lying down in that sequence. Its faked with a point_viewcontrol (somewhat like a camera) which moves up.

Its not your problem. Steam only presents a problem during the actual compile. You have told us that it crashes before the compiling begins.

Try using Hammer 3.5

have you actually started the compile process when it crashes?
Or are you just in the compile options window?

If you havent started the compile, i'd say it's a software problem and you should re-install hammer
