I just noticed this:

[quote]you can kill that garg with electricity!? i always naded it from a corner surprised - :o[/quite]

the giant tesla coils you have to turn on, you know, in the tunnel behind the garg, your supposed to turn the power on then have the garg chase you down it and get zaped by the coils.

and on an accuall on topic thing, I cant wait to play any of this

its only bad to reuse an Idea if your reusing an idea that was well done. I personally love people who find great plot lines in games that just didn't live up to the plot. and there of plenty of games like that.

eg: you wouldn't redo systems shock 2, but redoing doom 3 so it accually is a good game would be nice.

living cells were created when all the right elements came together in water in a coherant atom setup.

so the likely hood of there being other life in the universe is near 100%

I always had fond thoughts of remapping the ultimate doom for the Hl1 engine, in a way that will preserve the gameplay so the game is still great.

and remember vox, a good looking city is pretty hard to achive without being really resource and time intensive

Graphics:
Half-life 2 > FEAR > Farcry > Doom 3 > Half-life

Other stuff:
Half-life > Half-life 2 > Farcry > Fear > Doom 3

end result:
Doom 3 gets its "ass'd whoupd"

I have the funniest story...

a guy on my rifle team was being dummer then any geek I have ever met. He and his dumass friend refused to belive that an OC-anything was faster then a T1. and the T1's were symetric lines. or even that T3's were faster then T1's. all that after claiming he has a T1 at his house, and claiming that our school has a T1. although our school is cheep, and the speeds don't match that of a T1, they are faster and non-symetric, likely a cable line. I then showed him alot of graphs and stuff on internet speed from University websites then claimed some shit about any old garbage on the internet. and has refused to belive me sinse on the issue.

The funny part is this guy accually is the best hacker in the school.

ya, intels generally do better with things like encoding and rendering.

and Ant, you can't say that the 6600 sucks. your computer isn't a good way to judge it, especially in HL2. your CPU needs to be better, right now its bottlenecking due to the physics calcs going through it and the video data its sending the card.

very.

Steam: I don't hate it, I hate the fact that my HL1 Cdkey is already registed to someone else, that I really can't use steam with dial-up with any hope of getting any updating done, and that it won't let me use the source sdk.

Half-life - enough for a Whole life..........time. (somewhere in the means of 10 play throughs and countless more jumping into levels to see stuff for mapping reasons.)

Ch9, the reason it originally locked up was not because it was broken, but because the RAD process takes alot of time. minutes, hours, even days in some cases. just give it time.

CP, Dorian, Daub, nemo, unb, I light_spot is accually better for skys. with "is sky" set to yes it acts like a light enviroment with better shadows.

all omni-DVI output cards come with DVI to VGA converters. some sort of unspoken standard of the industry.

I have a 6200 and it works fine. although I OC'd it about 9% so it can compete with a 6600
