The fences are way too thick. It looks like shite when you see the top edge textured with only a bit of chainlink.

You need to add some height variations, as this is what makes any map successful, at least with online play. Add some terrain instead of flat grass brushes, perhaps place the tree is a better spot that the corner.

The first screenshot looks barren. Especially because of the two walls.

It looks okay, but you need to build stuff outside of the explorable world so it looks more immersive and believable. Maybe some terrain or trees or bushes or something above the buildings you have, like taller buildings or a radio tower or something, it's just too boring.

so I recently got into The Specialists again, and since there's going to be a new version coming out in the near future I thought perhaps I'd try to piece together a small map to play around with.

What do you guys think makes a good TS map? Layout? (game play, flow etc), Looks? (texturing, brushwork, nice screenshots) or simply action packed no nonsense deathmatch goodness? I do not plan on making an RP map, as RP is extra lame. I'll probably work on a little 'duel' style map for 4 or 5 players... So if any of you have any tips or comments or suggestions about TS maps I'd like to hear them before I start to think of a layout.

it was funny when it was new and fresh, now it's kind of an old hat and the jokes and humour have played out.

it was also fun to go to a screening with my pals , meeting the guys who put it together. they're pretty cool and play their parts well ;]

maybe you should either condense the wads and use only the textures you're actually using or fix the leak and actually compile the map to see what the problem is

who knows why it's crashed, you have 4853 available textures to use but you're using 41 or so . uhhhhhh ?~?~?~?~?~?~ LOL
