Yeah, I've got Witcher 3. It's alright.

I prefer customisation though. I don't really connect with Geralt at all.

I decided to go in and have a look at what the "special edition" of Skyrim offers. (I didn't buy it but I have it for some reason.)
If you own the original with all DLC you get the special edition for free. I got it as well, and I'm using it as an excuse to replay it. I love Skyrim.

The screenshot you are using for the comparison is a bad example. It shows the increased draw distance and improved filtering, but the enhancements are the least obvious during a clear day.

Dawn, dusk, snow storms, rain and fog are all massively improved. There is also a lot of subtle changes such as improved water shaders, a lot more detail on the ground (plantlife and stones and stuff), and performance is generally a lot smoother. The original game frequently drops to 30FPS or less for me, but the special edition has been a solid 60FPS for me in my first 5 hours.

I'm not saying it doesn't have problems. It's about as stable as it ever was (Drunk, obese pensioner on a unicycle). Hell, there are bugs present that were ironed out in the original within the first year.

You haven't seen me play, clearly. It's anything but an honour to have me on your team.

Sank a couple of hours into Overwatch again last night. It's a shame not having anyone to play it with... (Other SnC guys have decided they don't like it)

Got a couple of unlocks with the current Halloween theme.

Junkenstein's Monster (never play the hero though)

It's in Office Complex. I never knew that sequence included the line... What an odd decision. Maybe they were having trouble getting the scientist to say his line using regular triggers.

Battlefield 1! Yes! Another Battlefield game. In my opinion the best one in a long time. There's something very satisfying about it.

I'll post some screenies down the line.

I'm also playing through Dying Light. I've owned it for a while but only recently started blast through it in Co-op with Archie and Mish (Scotch and Coffee has adopted another one...)

Probably gonna be a video of this one day in the future.

Last but not least, I grabbed Final Fantasy 7 on Steam. It's quite nice to experience it again in 1080p at 60FPS (the 3d elements at least)

They were included with the original Worldcraft 2.1 installation and were present up to and including Hammer 3.0. I guess they forgot to package the files with later versions, or simply thought that nobody was using prefabs at that point. It is good practice to make your own these days.

As for adding custom prefabs, you can make your own as I said. I'm not sure if people are still releasing packs but back in the early 2000's you'd get them on demo disks and all sorts. Sadly there's not much call for it these days as far as I know.

Ah, OK. Those are prefabs. The original prefabs don't come with later versions of Hammer, but you can get them here. DOWNLOAD

Stick the "prefabs" folder in your "Hammer" directory and they should then appear in the editor.

Had they not lied about pretty much all of the awesome stuff they mentioned, I would have certainly given it a look. As it stands, it looks like a generic survival/crafting game with early 2000 graphics.

I loved me some Sims 2 back in the day. Having loving the original, the leap from isometric faux 3D into full blown actual 3D was awesome. It was nice to have a little more customisation when actually making your sim as well, rather than the handful of prefab heads / bodies.

But yeah, downhill after that. Sims 3 had awesome customisation but bare minimum content (before all the paid expansion packs of course!) and Sims 4 managed to have even less content while backtracking with the gameplay aspects.

The reference.smd that the .qc file is looking for will be the mesh for the model. When you say you 'made' the reference.smd, do you mean you renamed one of the existing .smd files? If you made a blank file and called it reference.smd, that's not going to work. :P

@Urby: I'm curious to see it if you happen to know what that map is.
Sadly, the name is long last in my mind. We're talking back in the late 90s.

I know that it was set in a hospital type building, although it didn't have much detail. In the single player version, you'd spawn next to an idling Apache, and you'd be directed by shutters in the corridors. Pretty clever.
