That is a pretty good idea, actually. Pretty impractical, though, I'm afraid: who'd implement it?

I personally think that it's okay in one case only: non-community maps. If it's a map from someone else, hey, why not e-mail em and ask? You're not gunna ask VALVe, eh, though, are you now?

1. Really bad idea. This confuses HL and you'll get odd lighting and poor framerates.

2. Yep. Zoom out all the way, the gridlines stop :)

3. No. There's a better way though - make four brushes, one for each wall :)

4. Nope, feel free to ask more ;)

Well done for signing up like I told ya ;)

For a start, get Zoner's Half-Life Tools (click here). They make BSPs faster and better than the Quake tools that come with Hammer. Try compiling with them, could well work.

They didn't. The "native american indians" weren't native at all. US government destroyed the scientific evidence a few years back by allowing the skeleton that proved it to be buried with american indian rights :(

gl_wireframe 2 is the second one. Also try 1 and 3, can't remember the differences.

impulse 107 is for the first, but I think you have to be running HL in developer mode for both/either of these to work: to do this, change the command line for HL to summat like:

c:sierraHalf-Lifehl.exe -dev -console

or if you had it somewhere else

d:HLhl.exe -dev -console

Hope you get the idea.
