Tried Google but no luck.

Thats nice to know but it doesn't help our friend alex.
I can't notice anything wrong with that process list.
It is awfully long though!
Try just closing anything thats not essential to your PC running, one by one to single of what is causing the problem.

I suggest not using XP, but thats my opinion and you may not have a choice!

I like the idea of being unconscious while the events of Black Mesa are going on, gives you the chance to make it REALLY eiry when you get back up.
Could have distant screams, creaks and alien noises. Really build up the atmosphere!

in Rather odd laser/beam problem Post #140349
env_laser uses itself as a start point and targets one object.
env_beam targets two objects and is seen between them, you can have a ring or have two moving ends.

Just played it again, nothing to do with the switch...
I go to the beams, see them once, when I leave the room and go back they're gone! :s

in Rather odd laser/beam problem Post #140304
Right, he's my set up...
Room 1 has 2 env_lasers, you press a switch it turns one on and one off, to the make the effect of the switch changing its colour.

Room 2 has 2 env_beams set to rings travelling down tubes.

You walk in the Room 1 can flip the switch as many times as you like, then go into Room two, have a look at the beams.

Now you're thinking, whats this guy getting at?
The problem arises when you return to Room 1 use the switch then return to Room 2, the env_beams are off?
WTF?!
I've looked over and over through the targets and names of everything, there is no possible way they can be linked. Yet in that particular scenario the env_beams turn off.

Any idea why they do this would be helpful, cheers!

I had this happen, I just copied these:
gfxshellkb_act.lst
gfxshellkb_def.lst
gfxshellkb_keys.lst
from my AG installation and modified them to suit my needs.

Sure you can get them from some other Steam mod, if you don't have AG.

Well know the OpFor intro... they have several blocks moving by, that line is because I wanted the illusion that you're travelling past a continous rock face...
So had to have many trains next to each other, and they overlap by about 1 or 2 units. Tried moving my path_corners 1 unit but then ended up with a 1 or 2 unit gap instead of overlap.

I prefer the line to a gap! :)

As for the chopper ride, you're not just sat there helplessly, you get to play with some firepower! Mooohaha!

Target is what it triggers when the sequence is finished.
Target monster is the monster that does the sequence.

Correct me if I'm wrong but can't you use Spirit to change model sizes?
Then just build you maps to a slightly larger scale?
So to the player it would seem as though they were smaller!

Icon... logo... same thing!
The little orange lamba symbol that half-life has, or the blue one blue-shift has.
Can you have your own for 3rd party games?

I already have the icon, using it for my shortcut on non-steam, just want it on the "Play Games" menu.

The controls thing I just sorted, copied AG's kb_act.lst and kb_def.lst and going to edit it to suit my mod.
Strange that the original kb_act.lst and kb_def.lst won't work with steam?!

So now only 1 problem remains...
The icon, can it be done?! If so how?

Cheers for the splash thingy! :D

The files i got in gfx/shell are; kb_act.lst kb_def.lst strings.lst
They're the same in both my directories (steam/non-steam)
But can only see controls for non-steam.

Is there extra and/or differentley named files for Steam?
