Fix't.
The skin is kickass, btw. The eye, though is left a tad flat and un-detailed model-wise. Since it's one of the main parts in the guardian, at least it's frame could be beveled a bit.

And as for the sprite - it's pretty simple to code that in. I'll get on it right after telek.

As for the "flamey shit", it looks great on the body, though indeed cartoony on the wings and eye. ( still - imo, the grayscale version, even being less crisp, would look cooler)

which I have render mode "texture" and FX Amout to "255"
Change the render mode to Normal. Texture will stay transparent even with 255 FX in some situations.

As for naming the render game_playerspawn - I haven't tried that with any other entity besides the multi_manager. It might work, just try it to find out.

For the rotating blade - use an env_render to hide it when the bomb blows. To make it visible again next round- you'll need a multi_manager named game_playerstart, that triggers another env_render.
For the sound - triggering it when the bomb explodes should turn it off it it's on.

The connection between frames 1 and 2 in ep.2 could've been cleaner, though overall - very nice.

I can't think of any solution that doesn't involve coding.. Some kind of .cfg file, binding the RMB to +attack, that'd be executed when the player deploys his grenade is probably the next closest thing. You'd have to use Spirit for that, and even then I'm not sure if it's possible.

As for the code - it's coming along alright. Working on telekinesis, still got quite some stuff to implement till it's just the way we want it. Once that's done - demo away!
I've given him a clear stopping point in which anything I decide to add after his part would have to wait until he either re-volunteers

Multiplayer? Won't work as easy as that.
If it's possible to trigger a light_enviroment on/off - you can fake the lighting levels by using a bunch of those. The sky can't be changed ingame though. You'll have to go around that and either use one sky that would work both with day and night, or replace the skybox with a func_wall, with it's render mode set to color and make it fade with the light_enviroment from blue to black, or however you want it.

Nice for a cell phone.
Sony ericsson k800i can take some pretty decent photos for a cellphone. It's got almost every function a Sony powershot would have and a decent flash. It can take 2048x1472 shots, though pretty much all of em' come out really blurred. I guess cellcams are ok for tourist shots, etc., though none of em' are yet good enough to make a decent artistic photo. :(

To fix the moving switch problem - tick the "Don't move" flag in the poperties of your switch. Also, the name of your platform should be the same as the one in the targetted object field of the switch. Another thins to remember is to avoid spaces (replace them with underscores if you like) and capital letters in entity names. That will mess up your entity setup and, most likely, cause errors.

As for 2 buttons activating the same platform - there's no extra setting up required. Just check the "Toggle" flag in the platform's properties (stops the func_door from going back to it's start position after extending) and set up the second button where you want it. Pressing either of the buttons will trigger the platform and make it extend/detract, depending on whether it was detracted/extended.

It looks like you haven't completed the "In the beginning" tutorials yet. Look them up in the beginner section. They'll explain most of the problems/questions new mappers get and will get you started off right. :)

Adding a new weapon is easy if you're following a good tutorial. There was one very detailed tut, covering almost every aspect of adding a new weapon at VERC.. Can't remember the name, though it should be easy to find. :)

My sis and a bunch of swans. I was experimenting with the panoramic shot feature and got this. The swans in the background obiviously repeat and you can see the transitions between the shots. :P Still - I kinda like it.

Pretty hawt, though the texturing needs some work to make transitions look smoother and cleaner.
Imo - green doesn't look right with the whole cold and concrete theme. You could replace it with a different kind of concrete/tiling. Heh.. or how about grass/plants that turned into stone? ;>
