Looks great! Just wondering but CS_Noir although made for CSS used an overlay...Is it not possible in HL1? Perhaps Spirit has these options to use a black and white shader on the screen...It would save you time...

Mind you I would enjoy spending time converting models etc...Makes you feel like you worked hard.

Yes it is...Although I'm not sure how...Hunter and I assume it's the information in the VMT that tells Source to find multiple textures and link them to form an animation...

Hehe I watched that again a few days ago thinking about that message...You should be honoured...I get emails like every five minutes saying thanks and having a name like yours in the video makes people remember your name and when they finally meet you then they'll go "Hey it's the guy on that video!".

Yes it could be possible for a 'custom' mod but he's doing this for CS:S and so he can't change anything.

The only way I see it is he would have to predict the future, make scoreboard textures from now till next year and then make them into textures, hide them and somehow tell the map to display it each day...Does CS:S have a clock? :S

Woah woah woah...You're missing some steps here...

1. You make the texture or find one...
2. You then use this VTFedit and make a vtf file in this directory:

C:program filesValveSteamSteamAppshabboicounter-strike sourcecstrikematerials

You can put them in seprate folders so:

C:program filesValveSteamSteamAppshabboicounter-strike sourcecstrikematerialsmytexture

3. You then make a .vmt, open in notepad and put this in:

"LightmappedGeneric"
{ "$basetexture" "yourfoldername/yourtexname" }

An example is:

"LightmappedGeneric"
{ "$basetexture" "mytexture/brickwall1" }

Then copy the vtf and vmt and place here as well:

C:program filesValveSteamSteamAppshabboisourcesdk_contentcstrikematerialsrc

If you made a folder then just copy the folder there.

And it will work...One folder for Hammer to find it and one folder for CSS to find it.

Heh...He's right...They do look clean...Really smooth like...Like he said add noise and in Hammer splash on some decals.

Oh and I'm curious to see how close it looks to the real thing...Could you llike do a real / game shot?

Another concern is...Your chocolate bars which looks great...One looks shiny...Is that because it is made shiny in-game or is the texture shiny due to you taking a picture of it...

Right well as you know I attempted to fix it...I won't give up but it's late now.

Anyway I have reason to believe it is an entity causing the crash...I'll delete bits and test my theory...It's how I got Peppers compo map fixed for him.

No...If this is for CSS then things don't reset...If the map is reloaded then yes but not after a round.

Say for instance you had sounds that are triggered on map spawn. They play in the first round but stop after the rest.

If you don't know what that means...Basically your map is leaking light into the black space you see in hammer...You have to seal your maps off from the dark space.
