But even after it's shrunken, it still takes up 1/3 of my screen, and I run at 1024x768.

- Some gaming related internet surfing right before bed; sometimes I start a virus scan or ad-aware scan before going to bed to let it run by itself

Were do I put the folder to play?Read the README.TXT, but if I remember correctly, it's under the Sourcemod directory. It'll appear in the Steam menu as "Third-Party Mods".

HL1 is also much more conducive to mapping, because the texture collection is so versatile. Perhaps that's another reason for disdain for HL2. After all, this is a mapping community.
But that shouldn't make HL2 an inferior game. Can you honest say that there wasn't a sense of awe when you're first strolling through the train station, watching the realism around you? The immersive experience is exquisite. And Valve sacrificed variety to realism. It's comparing two completely different style of games.
And as you can tell, people's opinion varies, based on what they like personally from a game.
I like both games, for different reasons. HL1 is a wonderful breakthrough in gaming. Dare I say that it's as much a breaththrough as the original Wolfenstein 3D. HL2 carried that legacy and re-invented the realism in gaming exeprience. It created an extremely realistic virtual world that has surpassed any games before it.

"The Constant Gardener" with Ralph Fiennes and Rachel Weisz is a political drama and a love story. The plot is based on a novel by John Le Carre, a story that expertly interweaves the conspiracy and the intimate relationship between a quiet diplomat and a vivacious activist.

I love WinXP Pro's Asian character input system. It allowed me to type Chinese characters for my wedding thank-you cards.
I think I am just too scared to try out SP2. Too many of my friends rendered their machines unusable after they updated their computer.

My friend gave me his HL1 CD, I tried playing it, but it required a 88 MB patch to load. While trying to find the patch, I found Uplink and Worldcraft instead. Together, it's still a smaller download. So I downloaded them instead.
I found TWHL from Google, and the learning began. I was obsessed at first, spending all waking hours mapping. Then it slowed down a bit, so I actually slept and ate and went to the bathroom during compile time.
Now, I am back to leading a normal life again. I am married, and working almost full-time. Mapping is a nice hobby, but it's not all-consuming anymore.

It's highly unlikely that any of you has even heard of this film, but it's an obscure movie set in the 1960's Hong Kong. The Chinese director also directed "In the Mood for Love" previously, and Quentin Tarantino is one of his biggest fans.
