I had the same problem and when I ticked the 'sparks' flag it worked. Check my trigger_changetarget tutorial's example map! ;) Also remove that light emmiting texture and instead use a one that doesn't emmit light.(choose a one with a +A or a one thats not in the lights.rad file)

You can also use in Hl1 the monster_generic! ;)

Use those entities when you want to place the model in your map or else edit the FDG file.

Do you mean you want a costum model in your map? :

If you have the model then just place it in the mod directory/models.
Example: Valve/models

There are many ways to get models. Download them in a site, get someone to make some for you or make them yourself. I myself prefer the theird option!! ;)

Don't ever do that. Extract the texture from the wad rename it and place it in a costum wad. Don't ever change the contents of a wad.

I can't tell for I'm not hungry right now but I'll probebly want some stuffed peppers... Only if my mother cooks them. :heart:

As for drink I'll have the peppers' sauce. And after the meal a short while before I'll die I'll drink pure alcohol(the one for curing wounds), if you want to get drunk then you better do it fast. :biggrin:

Thanks all I think I'll post my layout later for I still don't know where to place the starting points. :

The area I place them in must be flooded or gased when all the switches are pressed and it mustn't be in the main chamber. :

You said you don't have Halflife.wad then the only Hl1 accociated game that doesn't have halflife.wad is gunman.(I think) Do you use steam? If so the files are in a diffrent directory.

Ohh...I just read the entity guide, they have no 'auto return' flag it's for the pendendlum. :tired:

How about those swithes? :quizzical: How do I make them reset when the multisource is activated or if it's possible 30 seconds after that.!

I know all about multisources I have a section on them in my tutorial too! My problem is how to make all the switches reset only after the multisource is activated by all the buttons. It would be even better if they'll reset 30 seconds or more after that. :tired:

My problem with the doors is that I want them to close slowly when all the buttons are pressed but it would be really annoying if they'll open up if they are blocked by a player! :roll:

Edit:

Why are the multiple multisources needed I want them in the end to target that one multisource that will start the flooding seaquance.

I always use fliping(tools menu-&gt;flip obgects) with texture lock! ;) It's changes the textures for all the sides. Just move a bit the object in a view and then you'll be able to flip it.(there is a big diffrence between fliping in diffrent views) ;)

My idea was quite inspired by crossfire. There is a main room in the middle with lots of floors in it quite like the blastpit. From that chamber you can accsess a few halls and rooms. In those halls there are four swiches, when all of them are pressed the main chamber will be flooded. Now where should I place the starting points and I'm not sure how to make it that the switches will rest only when all of them are pressed and the multisource that they target is activated. The doors are sepposed to close slowly when all the switches are pressed, I just don't want them to open up when they are blocked! Do I need to use a momentry_door for this? :

Good I only want them to break once! ;) Also is it possible to make a door that wont open if a player blocks it but continue to close or stay in place till the player moves. :

Sorry if I ask totally stupid quastion for I never made a DM map before. I read the tutorial and now I want to know if DM maps can have breakables in them. I've never seen in any of them. It would be really nice to know. Also I want some advices on weapon placement/spawning points placement. :) Any help would be really aprociated.

Delete all brushes with the sky texture on them, rebuilt them. I've heard somewhere you need to do it and it's not enough to turn the brush back to world again. :tired:

I searched for 'brick wall' in yahoo and found many good pictures/textures. All you need then is to change it's size to 16/32/96/128/256/512 all these sizes can be used.

Download wally(slackiller's site in the links page) and make your own textures! ;)

There are many I don't know they're names just search the web. I found tons of textures and pictures for a wad.

Wrong quake 1 is the first to use models! After it came hexen 2, blood 2...and many more games. It might be the first that uses both sprites and models but I myself prefer quake2's exploitions,wallpuffs and lightning.(well sometimes)

Doom was the first game with lightning.(I think) But the lightning was based on areas.(a bright area,dark area)
