Well srry, it's web based, and that's why all those designs look similar.
I don't know if I can have a chance of winning, but there's still time until 30 december.
I feel almost miserable when I get into these kinds of contests, but... whatever, I'm not rich :(.
btw is your sister hott?.. =P

Please vote me here, you can help me win that laptop. I really want it. I would install ubuntu on it instead of windows7 and use it with a lot of opensource software, especially for multimedia. A portable studio :). And also programming, it's much more comfortable for me to program from the sofa :P
If you don't want to vote me, at least please visit the link, that ads points too :)

If you have more time, you can vote my sister's laptop tooaici

Thank you for your time !

Please be more specific. What do you mean you have trouble progressing in the double helix room ? You mean going further ? That's the end of the map.

I tested the map before and it worked well. Yes I was still getting that error when I tested the map :)

....

I think NASA knows this for quite some time. They could have easily get some probes from the moon soil when there were human expeditions there. We can't know for sure anyway.

But anyway it's cool to know there's water on the moon.
Water is the fundamental liquid.
Sun provides us with solar power( heat + electricity for solar panels)
Electricity + Water => Oxygen ( for us ) and hydrogen (fuel)

So many possibilities just with water... fascinating ! :))

in Natural Selection 2 Map-Editor released Post #276074
Heh, you all people have negative ideas about prefabs, but that's how's the mapping done these days. The Cryengine2 sandbox (the editor) is a WYSIWYG at an extreme level. I was damn curious how I could build some simple walls, blocky stuff like you do it in hammer you know ?
That was the most difficult part to find in the editor ! Most of the editor is about creating terrain and adding prefabs to it. Thank god there are and there will still be a good range of popular and open source games that will use editors like hammer :).
I personally think that every editor is adapted to the style of the game.
In hl1 you create most of the things from "world brushes" and models are rarely used. Even in source you do that, but you use more and more props than ever. Think about how hl3 will be, of course the editor will be a WYSIWYG in my opinion. But that will be long time in the future.

It has no sense to buy a i7 920 unless you go for triple channel memory. But that's a crap load of money you have to spend. I;m saying this because for a period I was convinced I'm going to go for a 1366 socket platform. But now that's a no-no. The 1366 motherboards are a lot more expensive than 1156 socket motherboards(talking about the same performance level).

So, I established my next upgrade for the pc, to finally replace the last components from my pc : processor and motherboard(but because i7 requires ddr3... well... it's going to be a little more expensive :D).

Here's my part list :
-Intel i7 860
-Gigabyte P55-UD4, socket 1156
-Kingston 4GB (2x2GB) DDR3/1600MHz Non-ECC HyperX

These 3 components will cost me around 750$. And I only have 150$ now :zonked: (and I saved 150 in 2-3 months... shit.). If I'm optimistic, I'll make my upgrade around my birthday(that's in april). If I'm realistic, I'll make my update next summer. And if I'm pessimistic, I'll make my upgrade next autumn.

I'll probably stay for a while with my current Ati Radeon HD4850 before buying a new videocard, mostly because I'd have to get more money(and this is very hard for me). Maybe buy an accelero for it to be able to cool itself better. And with this upgrade I must buy a new case.

This will not work, I can tell.
There is far too little information available which will result in that people won't want to join you simply because the foundation isn't done yet.
I don't agree with you. There are people like me, who never participated at making of a mod( well, the TWHL source mapping and putting all those maps together, but that's not very important). I don't know why, but I'm a little excited and I can't wait to work in the team. And not only the happiness to be in a team, but I can add later something more in my biography right ? :)
@The_(c)Striker:
Mapping skills are mapping skills. If not using hammer to make the map, perhaps just layout etc. That's also an important part! As for your voice, feel free to upload a short clip saying just about anything. Just something that gives me an idea of your vocal capacity.
Alrighty then. Cosider me as part of the team. I sent you a pm, if you want to talk in an instant messaging service, it's easier. As for my voice, I'll prepare a sample today and upload it. BRB !

Hi, can you re-describe your project so we can know what's about ? Or provide a link to a description ? Is it source\goldsource ?

I may be able to map for source(although my skills in mapping are not so good yet, you can check my maps) , as for goldsource... my Ati Radeon card doesn't let me do it.
I can help being a voice actor though, if my voice interests you. I tend to have a voice a little thick, but certainly not as a tenor. I don't think it's your everyday normal Joe voice, but for my age(16) it's a little thick. Because English is not my mother language and I come from Romania, I sometimes have a strange accent, a bit Russian like. But it's not exaggerated.
I can simulate different moods. If you put me to be nervous, I can be quite funny. I have on my pc a record with my nervous voice, but it's in Romanian. I think it's the most funny nervous recording I ever did.

If you want I can upload a wav or mp3 file with 20-30 seconds of my voice.

The thread bump request is still broken and I would've posted this to the swine flu thread but anyway...

In the last posts of that thread, most of you calmed down and safely said swine flu is fail. I documented myself about this swine flu and it seems it looks like a population reduction plan. Malefic.
From what I heard, the Baxter company is responsible for this. Also, the vaccine contains mercury ( the most dangerous neurotoxin) and other toxic elements. It can produce severe secondary reactions, such as remaining disabled, cancer and others. In UK a lot of doctors refuse to take this vaccine because they're conscious of what could happen.
The situation in the places around me aren't good too. Ukraine has over 500,000 infected people, and in our country aprox. 20 new infected people appear every 24 hours.
Satchmo, it would be great to give us your opinion.
I don't really know what should I do. I think I'm going to intentionally miss the day they would come to our school with the vaccines.
Until then I'm going to fortify my immune system and make my body more resistant. It sounds ridiculous, but in our times what's happening to the world now is also ridiculous.

NO. Because exchange rates are extremely high. Valve is not fair at pricing.
1 euro = 4.2 lei ( 2,8 mid-sized breads).
1 $ = 2.8 lei (1,8 mid-sized breads).

I actually have a principle : I don't buy anything from steam that costs more than 10 euro. I'm just wasting my money.

Of course Valve doesn't give a shit about how people earn money in Romania and our exchange rates. Often I only get like 12 euro in a month from my parents.
