I'll repeat my answer. Any time you trigger the func_illusionary, it will toggle like a nonsolid func_wall_toggle. Just trigger it directly and forget env_renders and that shizzle.

I don't know, but that carpet looks straight out of The Sims.

The point lights on the ceiling suck. Get that sorted and it may not be too bad.

Just trigger the func_illusionary. It will toggle when triggered, you don't need env_renders or anything else.

It's exactly like a func_wall_toggle just not solid.

And as an alternative to the trigger_auto, you can place a trigger_once into the info_player_starts.

Last night I had a very Half-Life-y dream. It was odd and poligonal, it had octagonal pipes and snot monsters. And func_waters and func_buttons and func_rotatings and exploding shizzle. I thought, I SO have to make a map based on this, but I'm already playing it, so it would be a ripoff of this! So I am undecided on whether should I ripoff my own dream or not.

If I do, I won't make it to the deadline and I'll end up posting it in a few months from now. If I finish it at all.

You have to carefully pick your palette if you're very concerned, and obviously NOT USE a compressed image format.

You know, I read that hyphen wrong ("...shrink it down to half life-size")

The answer is you make a reduced copy to verify it fits what you already built. Paint on the original version, then make a reduced copy of that, which then you can use as a definitive texture.
